Sickie Pics of the day

Hopefully these pictures will look MUCH better tomorrow.

Not too bad - his eyes are looking A LOT better!

How he's looked for most of the day - since getting home from the doc appointment.

Funny boy!

Maddox is laying on the couch, looking just miserable - hacking away, into his hand, covering his eyes up. So I asked "do you want me to come cuddle with you?" and he pats the couch next to him and says "there's no spot!" So I take that as a no! I feel bad because there isn't anything I can do for him. His eyes hurt and his cough is really bothering him.

Pneumonia

I called and made a doctors appointment for 8:45 AM. We saw a different doctor this time. I made sure of that because I really didn't like the other Doc we saw. He checked him out and did a strep and flu test. He said he looked like a boy who had the flu (NO, not a stomach bug, influenza). Those both turned up negative. Then Maddox and Clayton went with the doctor to have chest x-rays done. Turns out Maddox has Pneumonia.

He's on antibiotic. 4ml today and 2ml for the following 4 days. He has about 2 days left of his eye drops. Hopefully my little peanut will be feeling better by the end of the day. His cough hasn't gotten much worse, but the frequency of it has and it is making him feel miserable. He was pretty happy and energetic, but now after coughing so much, he was laying on the floor with his face buried in his hands. Now he's passed out on the floor. He wakes up pretty frequently when he's sleeping alone, so I think I'll try to get him to come to the couch and cuddle with me.

Thursday, February 28, 2008

It feels like Friday, but it's only Thursday. I wish it were Friday. I feel crummy. On and Off. My throat hurts and I'm getting a cough. Plus the eye itching thing. The on and off part would be the nausea. I'm not sure if I'm going to "get sick" or not. I wish the belly aching would go away. I'd like to eat.

I made Maddox and myself a large bowl of cocoa wheats. Probably not the best for my belly. Maddox's belly has been feeling fine though and the poor little thing is laying on the couch in fleece PJ's and his 2-sided fleece tie blanket with the fire place on SHIVERING! So I figured I'd make him some hot cereal. Well, he's passed out now that I'm back with the cereal. He has the sippy cup type cups with a lid and straw so that he can carry it around with him and it was laying on it's side on his blanket by his legs because he fell asleep holding it.

I'm feeling a little gloomy today. A little lonesome.

Frustrated

I'm feeling frustrated with Maddox's doctor "appointment" yesterday. The guy listened to his chest and back, looked in his ears, looked at his throat, and said he was fine. They did a white blood cell count and the doctor said "his white blood cell count looks almost perfect". So what is almost perfect? Not perfect? You don't think he really has anything so you don't want to look into it further? Or there is some type of "range" that he is in?

He was just going to send us home and I said "so is there anything I can do about his eyes to make him feel better" and he admitted he completely forgot about his eyes. He never checked them and just wrote out an Rx for an antibiotic eye drop. Three times a day until they are clear and then for 24 more hours after that. The first dose made them worse, the second dose made them worse. He woke up with less goop but redder eyes. The third and fourth dose (so far) has not made any immediate changes. No more goop, which is fantastic, but his eyes are even redder than before. So it seems like they are getting better and maybe his eyes need to get redder before they get better?

But - his cough is terrible and very mucusy and that plus his laryngitis sounding voice makes it sound like he has bronchitis. He's having a hard time breathing (fast & shallow) and his temp is up to 103.0. Maddox's normal temp is between 98.6-98.7. His low grade fever is usually between 99.3-100.4. His cold fever is around 101.4 at the highest. The very highest. So what is up with this 103.0 crap. The doc said he'd have a low grade temp in the day and not to be surprised if his temp shot up again at night (even though I read that your temp gets lower between midnight & early morning which is when he had his 104.4 temp).

I don't know what to think. I know he's sick. I know he feels miserable. He's got the chills, body aches, bloodshot & burning eyes, a fever, mucusy cough, and a squeaky, crackly voice. Loss of appetite even though he hasn't thrown up for days (except once on Tuesday). Personally, it sounds like Pneumonia - especially with the 12 hours of vomiting and some diarrhea and the high fevers. But maybe I am just paranoid? You cannot stop thinking about it constantly when your baby is sick.

Boo Hoo

So no more puking, but I'm still sick and on top of that, my eyes are starting to itch and this dumb headache won't go away. I feel super bad for Maddox, but I really hope that I don't get the bloodshot, goopy eyes and icky cough. I hope his goes away soon. He is so sad looking.

I wanted to go out for a chocolate malt tonight for my birthday, but I just don't think I can handle it and really don't want to attempt any dairy (or leaving the house lol). We didn't go to school today, Maddox was just too sick. We planned on not going because we didn't want to get any other kids sick, but with Maddox's eyes and temp, etc, he couldn't go either way.

That's all. My mind has gone completely blank.

Sicky Pics and update

Took Maddox to the doc and they think it's just viral. His white blood cell count looks good, lungs sound good, ears look good, throat looks good. He has an antibiotic eye drop Rx that needs to be given 3 times a day for 3-5 days. He HATES eye drops and I hate that I have to give them to him every couple days (PatADay for allergies), so it really stinks that he needs these drops too.

He has spurts of energy, so he's not a lump all day long. Still as sweet as ever though, but quite the crank to other people. He's had a temp of 101.4 most the day and it will probably rise again tonight, but the doctor said not to worry about it. As long as he doesn't get any worse, the fever doesn't necessarily mean there is anything more serious going on. Hopefully this all will pass soon.

Sicker Baby

My poor baby feels miserable. I thought he was getting better. Sunday was a bad day for him, Monday was better, Tuesday was going pretty well until he puked again. I've been concerned about his eyes being bloodshot (started Monday) and how he has had a "Kaden-like" cough all day. Kaden's been sick too, which is where I believe Maddox caught it. He is normally pretty sick when he gets a cold because of his asthma, but he definitely seemed like something else was going on and now I am convinced. They have an appointment for Thursday. I'm going to try to get Maddox into the doctor tomorrow (today/Wednesday). I'm going to call first thing in the morning (normal morning hours). We're definitely not going to school tomorrow. Decided that yesterday morning, but now we are DEFINITELY not going to school!

Maddox is so awesome though. He is still in such a good mood even though he feels so awful. He is so sweet, maybe even sweeter when he is sick. He isn't liking me checking his temp (under arm with digital), but otherwise, he is being so polite while asking for things and when I ask him how he is feeling, etc, he says "I'm just fine!" He's laying in our bed at 3AM, a half hour after waking up, not going back to bed and he's just so sweet and calm. He's not bored or grumpy, just laying in bed. We're on the couch now. I figured if I was staying up a little longer to make sure his temp goes down some and he is not falling back to sleep, we might as well camp out on the couch for a little while. I don't like that his temp hasn't gone below 102, but at least it is not 104.4 anymore. I just don't know if I should call the doctor first and have Clayton go to work and come back home, or if I should just bring Maddox in at 8AM without calling. Our wonderful doctors office takes walk-ins all day long. They do not have well-baby checks past 4-4:30PM, but you can schedule an appointment for a sick child or walk-in with a sick child until around 7:30-8PM.

Sunday:
+ Puking from 6am-6pm
+ No appetite
+ Pee'd twice
+ Temp - 100.2 in the late afternoon

Monday:
+ No puking
+ Still no appetite, but ate a little
+ Not as much liquids (maybe because of the running around we did)
+ Pee'd three times, with one bout of diarrhea
+ Blood shot eyes
+ Minor cough
+ Temp - 99.6 (ish) - cannot remember when I checked it.

Tuesday:
+ Puked once, around 5pm
+ Mucusy cough
+ No appetite - ate about the same as on Monday.
+ Bloodshot eyes, woke up with goop
+ Fairly good energy
+ Pee'd 1-2 times (I remember him going in the morning, but not anything after that)

"Wednesday": (2AM-On)
+ Woke up and had to pee (so Pee'd once)
+ Bloodshot eyes, crusted and goopy
+ Mucusy cough (5 hours after taking Delsym)
+ Seems to have trouble breathing - Seems shallow & fast.
+ High temp
+ 104.4 at 2:30AM
+ 103.7 at 2:45AM (15 minutes after Ibuprofen)
+ 102.7 at 3:00AM (30 minutes after Ibuprofen)
+ 102.4 at 3:30AM (60 minutes after Ibuprofen)
+ 103.2 at 4:30AM
+ 100.2 at 6:30AM
+ 99.7 at 8:30AM

Pics are a little blurry because my camera didn't want to focus in the dark. (Goop and Crust cleaned out prior to pictures).

Good News and Bad News

We'll start with the bad. I'm puking! Maddox was puking from 6am-6pm on Sunday, we had a great day yesterday, and now I am puking. I KNOW you want details. My nose is filled with blood and I threw up for the first time after eating a nice, big bowl of beef stroganoff. Yum! I blame my sister, because I can LOL I actually feel pretty good though and can understand why Maddox was bouncing off the walls in between puking on Sunday. However, it doesn't make me very hopeful that it will end soon.

Now the good news. We got out state taxes back today and I ordered bumGenius 3.0 One Size diapers, wipes & solution, odor remover, and doubler inserts for nap/bedtime. I saved 5% by googling "cottonbabies coupon" and shipping was free! I think we'll get one big box of size NB or size 1 diapers (or maybe a couple small packages of each) for the first 1-2months because I've heard that cloth diapers tend to leak with teeny babies. And I ordered our babies carseat off Amazon and saved on tax, shipping, AND the actual price of it was knocked down $31!

So in the next couple days (to week) diapers & accessories, carseat, and camera filters (that my wonderful mother ordered for me for my birthday) should be arriving!

Now Maddox wants to go "round in circles" - do I even attempt it?! LOL

Sick Baby

Maddox had ate hardly anything in the past two days. Yesterday, he didn't have anything to eat, just liquids. Today, he had half a yobaby yogurt, one spoonful of corn chex, a few cheetos, one piece of turkey off a subway sandwich, two fruit snacks (literally 2 of the snacks out of one little bag), a couple pieces of puppy chow. He finally at about 6 pieces of mixed fruit and a couple spoonfuls of ice cream. He had Aunty Amy buy him a cookie, but thats in the cupboard "for later". He turned down DQ ice cream cake twice, noodles, and several other things. Unfortunately, today he hasn't had too much to drink. Half a cup of lemonade, 1 juice box, and half a cup of green iced tea. He's gone pee twice yesterday and three times today. He finally went pee for the third time late this evening - at almost 9pm.

Saturday night, on the way home from Aunty Amy's house, he fell asleep in the car (around 7pm). He spent most of the evening waking up and crying. He laid with me on the couch and slept for awhile and then came to bed with me. He woke up coughing at 6am on Sunday morning. At first I thought nothing of it. Second cough I was a little concerned. Third cough I sat up and said "Clayton, he'd going to puke!" He didn't, he had dry heaves because he didn't have anything in him, but with the help of a cup of ginger ale and about 20 minutes time, he was puking. If he didn't have anything in his system, he had the dry heaves so I kept him pretty full with ginger ale, ginger ale & lemonade, ginger ale & green tea with honey & lemon. He felt pretty good and was actually pretty hyper, but he was throwing up from 6am-6pm. The poor kiddo even asked for his bucket when he felt like he needed to. He would always puke the first time he asked for his bucket, or within 5 minutes.

He seems to be feeling better today, but not totally. One case of diarrhea this morning and then no appetite today. Hopefully he'll be eating better tomorrow and feeling up for school on Wednesday.

Now some pics from today:

Maddox and Grandma Mary bought me a DQ Ice Cream cake for my bday (this Wed). Maddox had the guy write "Happy Birthday Mommy!"

POP! 24 Weeks

Finally showing!

IMG_1191 IMG_1189

Falling Apart

I'm going to fall apart before this is all done. I used to waking up with a headache every morning, but now my belly hurts every morning and my right leg (the sciatica and around the hip/leg joint) really hurt too. I have to be on my left side and roll out of bed or I'm SOL! When I go to walk (or should I say hobble) to the bathroom, pull my pants down and sit, so much pain. I can barely walk or move in the morning and I have so much pain in that right joint and side of my butt. Luckily it goes away pretty quickly (until I get myself in some other position that causes pain).

I'm sure I'll be the size of a Hippo too. I am constantly craving food, even when I'm not hungry. It is driving me insane. I don't want to eat all the time. I had to buy Oreo cookies and I cannot eat just 1-3 of them, it's just not possible. It is nice to have them here, it keeps me in a little better mood just knowing I have the option, but just knowing I have the option makes it really hard not to eat them. They've lasted alot longer than they normally would have. I'm super tempted to make brownies too. Especially since I bought "Special Dark" baking cocoa and "Special Dark" syrup.

I had only gained 3lbs by 18 weeks and then at my 23 week appointment, I had gained 10 more! OMG! I hope that pattern doesn't continue. I hope my wait gain by 28 weeks is only 5 more pounds.

Nesting

I'm nesting already and not quite 24 weeks yet. Last night, around midnight, I moved all Maddox's clothing to the lower bar in the "closet" (there are two clothe rods in there) and hung up his old newborn and 0-3 sized clothes that we kept for baby girl. I also hung up the few sleep n plays, onesie, and little dress romper with tags still on it. I feel positive that she is a girl LOL, but until we get a second opinion and picture of those three little lines that we saw, I don't want to start taking off the tags and opening the packaged clothing - so she still has a three pack of onesies and a kimono sleeper that are not hung up. I put all Maddox's clothes on the bottom bar so that he could see and reach all his own clothes.

I want to go to JC Penney's or Kohl's and find some cute gowns and stuff for her. I know that I will get my chance later, but I want to go shopping for her!

Like Pablo Says...

"Always expect the unexpected" (yes, I'm a dork)

Maddox slept great last night. He went to bed with the same amount of fuss as if he were going to bed in his toddler bed. He stayed in his bed and went to sleep even though I left and went into the couch room (aka living room for normal people) and watched a movie. He slept till almost 9AM this morning and woke up cheerful and hyper.

So that's exciting and strange. Hopefully he keeps up the good work!

Trip to the Hospital

I called my midwife yesterday around 3PM. I just wanted to let her know what was going on and get her opinion. I felt fine all day yesterday, but was still concerned about the night before and figured I should call now because my midwife wouldn't be back in the office till Monday. I could always leave a message and she's call back Friday-Sunday if I were having more problems, but I didn't want to bother her then since I wasn't having any discomfort.

Well, she said to go over to the hospital and have them check things out. Check for a UTI, my cervix, see if anything was going on. We left around 6-6:15PM and didn't get home until 8PM.

First we waited in the Labor assessment room for the longest time before anybody came into the room. She hooked me up to the monitoring system. Little girl was hiding so it took several minutes to find the heartbeat. Everything looked fine. I had pee'd in a cup when I first got there and she took that with after she hooked me up. About an hour-ish later a nurse comes in, says there was blood in my urine but everything else was fine (no UTI). No contractions (DUH, I'd been fine all day) and she checked my cervix (the most painful cervix check I've ever had done) and said it was still thick and she couldn't get a finger through. I don't know if it was completely closed, or just not open enough to get a finger through... who knows.

So all in all it was LONG, boring, and uninformative.

I guess the only way I'll know if they are contractions or not (or anything to worry about or not) is if I go in when I am in pain.

No Sleep

I got very little sleep last night. Maddox got a new big boy bed last night that is in his bedroom. He hasn't slept in his own bedroom since around 2 (maybe earlier than that). I was up with pain for most of the night, I finally fell asleep and Maddox woke up around 1:30-2 AM. He was up and ready to play! He wanted lemonade and something to eat. I had 1/4 a bottle of water left and he downed it. He still wanted more but I made him go back to bed. He laid in my bed for awhile but I had to kick him out because I was in too much pain & discomfort. He was pretty mad that his toddler bed had nothing but a Thomas the Tank Engine blanket on it. I told him he could lay there or go in his new bed with his blanket and pillow. About a half hour of whining, he decided to go get his blanket and bring it to the toddler bed. It took forever to get back to bed again. At least an hour. Finally I did and Maddox slept til almost 10AM this morning. I woke up a little when Clayton left at 7:45AM and it took awhile to get back to sleep again because my right leg/hip joint hurt so bad. I woke up around 9 AM in pain again (just the leg/hip joint pain this time) and just laid in bed pretending to sleep until Maddox told me it was time to get up. I'm not supposed to lay on my back, but it is the only thing that made me comfortable this morning. Last night I had to scrunch up like a frog with a pillow under my belly. The baby is too big for me to lay on my stomach and for some reason, my legs all scrunched up made me feel better than any other position I could get into.

Feeling fine now and surprisingly, not tired. I don't think we are going to be able to give Maddox a nap today. He'll probably never go to bed tonight if he has a nap.

It's going to be a little more difficult...

I started having Maddox go to bed on his own. Since he was around 15mo, I've been in the room with him while he falls asleep (which is why we moved his crib/toddler bed into our room in the first place). We tried pretty much every technique that was suggested to us or that I could find online and nothing worked. Crying might have, but after 2 hours and no REAL reason why he needed to be sleeping in his own bedroom, I just said forget it. He has been going to be just fine. I put him down in his toddler bed, tuck him in, kiss him good night, I love you and so forth. Then I shut the doors and go in the living room. He's been going to be just fine.

With his new bed, I didn't expect bedtime to go that great and it didn't. He slept in his bed til about 1:30-2AM. Slept in my bed for about 20 minutes (after wanting to play, wanting lemonade, downing several ounces of water, and wanting to eat), then I had to kick him out of my bed (I wasn't feeling good). He laid in his toddler bed with nothing but the bare mattress and a Thomas the Tank Engine blanket over it. He finally decided to go get his blanket and pillow and slept in his toddler bed from around 3-10AM.

We were going to skip the nap today, after he woke up at 10AM, but I got him in his bed for books, etc a little after 2PM. He was singing his ABC's lol. I decided to call my doctor (just to get her opinion before she was out of the office for 3 days) and he comes out with his blanket saying that he woke up. He is now back in his bed, after protesting and insisting that he DID sleep and that he woke up. He was told to stay in his bed until I came to get him in an hour and was told that he needed to TRY and go to sleep. I have NO idea if he actually will try to go to sleep, but I have no doubt that he will stay in his bed till I come to get him.

We have a reason why he needs to sleep in his own bedroom in his own bed now. His toddler bed will come down by next Wednesday (and no sooner than Monday). After that, we'll wait a week or two and rearrange our bedroom. Then I probably won't set up the babies pack n' play/bassinet thing until I am in labor (I'm organized like that!). So I hope that by the time the baby gets here, Maddox will be settled in his bedroom and will not associate the room change, etc with the baby taking over his space in the room.

I hope to paint the crib a dark brown/ebony this spring. I want to spray paint it because I like the look better, but I don't know (and am afraid I probably won't be able to) if I can safely do that. I can get chew guards for the rails and I'm almost positive they have non-toxic spray paint, but I still haven't researched it all well enough to find out if it is safe or not. I know that I am too lazy to actually paint it though. Spray painting, no problem. Using a brush and making it look nice, I'm too scared to try!

Big Boy Bed!

Maddox got his new bed today! He was really excited and played Monster Trucks on it as soon as I got his bedding on.

We have partial success with going to bed on it tonight. I say partial because he IS in it and I told him that he was going to be sleeping on it and there was no fussing, etc, but he fell asleep in my bed while we were reading books. I talked to him and carried him into his room and put him in bed and he opened his eyes a little bit and made a noise at me, but I really don't know if he realizes he is in his new bed in his own room...

Wish us good luck for tomorrow!

I'm feeling pretty positive that I am having some contractions. A little less than a month ago I believe I was having some too. I'm not really sure if it is Braxton Hicks contractions or not since I never really had any. I had preterm labor with Maddox and have only felt real contractions. These definitely feel like real ones. When I had them in January, I felt absolutely miserable for about 8 hours, but only really bad for about 5 hours. I had contemplated calling my doctor, but didn't want to because it was a Saturday. I didn't think they were anything to worry about - nothing timeable, nothing like transition or active labor, and baby was still moving around fine. I just hope that this isn't the start of future preterm labor. I honestly don't hope to go to 40 weeks, but I do not want to deliver till after 36 weeks. 38 weeks would be ideal LOL
Maddox told me "There's nothing to cry about, don't cry", I try very hard and consciously not to say that too him, so where the heck did he learn it?

He was sad that I was sad, so maybe he just came up with it on his own?

My head hurts today. All day. It's worse now, from my frustration (and crying). I hate heads.

Real or BHC's?

January 19th is when I had problems before. I woke up with Maddox, with a headache of course. Got rid of that and shortly after started to have a lot of pain in my stomach, back, and hips. I felt like I was getting AF and was in a ton of pain (starting around 8:30 AM). I tried laying on my back, left side, right side, kind of on my tummy on both sides. I tried sitting, standing, sitting on the exercise ball. I tried leaning on the exercise ball in all sorts of positions. Laying on the floor, laying on the couch, laying in bed. I took a very warm bath, tylenol, etc. NOTHING helped even in the least. No bit of relief at all.

It let up around 11 AM-12PM. We all took a nap and I got up around 2PM. It started up again, but not as bad and hung around until 5PM ish. We went to Monster Jam that night and I felt fine the entire time until I carried Kaden from the Metrodome to the car. I felt crappy for only about an hour after that. Felt fine on Sunday. I chalked it up to Babysitting Dante, Ariana, and Kaden on Friday from 8 AM-4 PM. They wore me out big time. Four kids asking for things and never at the same time and two floors of the house.. I was pooped and fell asleep on the floor upstairs after they left while Maddox played Monster Trucks.

It definitely could have been all the activity and I don't know what that means in terms of real contractions vs braxton hicks contractions.

This evening the pain started after I carried Maddox from my bed to his bed. He fell asleep in my bed. I know I could have called Clayton in to come get him, but I am stubborn.

It's been about 30 minutes and I already feel a little better. I had so much pain and pressure in my bottom, my pelvic area, and my lower abdomen (and my back and hips). The pressure in my bottom is what freaks me out though.

I suppose I should try to remember to bring this up to Katherine at my next appointment (assuming I don't have any problems before than).

23 Week Appointment

Today I am 22 Weeks and 6 Days. Will be 23 Weeks tomorrow, but had my appointment today.

Everything is looking good! Measured 24cm (from 19cm at 18 weeks) and gained 10lbs in the past 5 weeks! It is quite a large weight gained, but I am right in the 12-15lb total that I am supposed to be at. A total of 13lbs for me so far. Hopefully I can keep it under control the next 5 weeks! I know that all the bacon is to blame and the fast food that my mom and sister were stuffing me with!

Heart rate sounded good and she is active! Doc thinks I might have some muscle separation though because I have A LOT of pain behind my belly button. I'm going to have to find a belly support band because I will be doing a lot of growing over the next couple weeks and my belly already feels stretched to it's limit.

I know that the separation is probably partially do to picking up and carrying Maddox. I try not to, but it is hard to avoid when I am home alone with him for the majority of his waking hours. He can do most stuff on his own, but he is still only 3 years old and needs mommies help.

I go back in 5 weeks, at 28 Weeks and have my 1 hour Glucose test. Appointments at 8:30 AM, but Sarah said I could come at 8 AM for the drink, have my appointment at 8:30 and then do the blood draw at 9 AM. So we should be out of there a little after 9 AM.

Then I go back at 32 Weeks (so 4 weeks later) and Katherine will do an internal. I am assuming my next appointment will be at 34 Weeks. I have to remind her to do the strep test at that time. I never had one with Maddox because my OB was going to do it at my 36 Week appointment, but I delivered Maddox the day before my appointment.

I also need to call CPMG and figure out why they didn't send the paper work I requested. I requested Prenatal & Postnatal files from March 2004 to January 2005 and they sent over a bunch of unrelated crap and labs.

Sweet Dreams Baby Book

I got Baby Girl the most beautiful Baby Book last night. Clayton and I went to Red Lobster last night (sans Maddox) and afterwards, we stopped at Borders. I never bought a baby book for Maddox and I really regret it. I didn't want anything horribly in depth, I still plan on doing a scrapbook, but I wanted something short and simple that I could write in small facts, etc that I know I would (and DID with Maddox) forget.

Anyways, so I found this book called "Sweet Dreams Baby Book". It is GORGEOUS! It has the most beautiful illustrations in it and the softest, simplest looking pages. I am in love with it!

So far I have filled out the family tree information. Just about all I can do! But I've got that done and now it's all ready for her when she is born this May/June!

I'm falling apart!

My body feels so tired and sore. Yesterday, Maddox and I took the bus over to my mothers house. By the time we got there, I felt like my belly was going to fall off. I just wanted to rest it on something. Just take it off and lay on something LOL My back hurt a little bit, but mostly my hips and waist area - and because of my belly. It's not even big yet!

All I could do last night when we got home was flop around from side to side trying to find a comfortable position. I took some Tylenol for my belly and the sciatica that was acting up. I picked Maddox up very early in the morning (4:30am) to put him in his bed and my sciatica in my right side was so bad I could barely pick him up. I got him in bed and hobbled to the bathroom to pee before going back to bed. I still felt miserable.

This morning my sciatica isn't so bad right now, but my belly still hurt a bit, my arms and back are incredibly sore (probably from carrying Maddox all over yesterday) and my shoulders & neck are killing me. I have a headache (of course!) and every time I put my head down a little bit (chin towards chest), I feel like I'm going to throw up. I also get the burning sensation (like stretching a thigh ligament too much) down my back, but that is always, all day long, every day!

Also, I cannot even remember the last time that we had sex and I feel terrible about it. I have felt so terrible this pregnancy. It's not that I'm never in the mood. I just, physically, hurt all the time and feel so miserable. Not to mention all the other gross stuff of pregnancy, like excessive discharge, lack of bladder control, constipation, etc. I feel so miserable AND unattractive/gross!

Anyways. Maddox woke up fairly early this morning, so hopefully I can get him down for a nap early and in bed early tonight and have a chance for a shower and such. I'd really like to go take a bath by myself right now. I know that's not going to happen though.

"I do it myself!"

Maddox is really getting into the independent stage. I know most kids that are his age went through it almost a year ago, but up until a couple weeks ago, Maddox wanted me to do everything for him. He still asks for help with some things like pulling up his underwear (they always get twisted).. and some other things I cannot think of right now. LOL Everything else we try to help with, we get yelled at - "NO! I do it by MYSeeeeeeeeelf!" Hopefully that means he'll be trying to get his own shirt, pants, etc on. He is supposed to be doing that as well, but he would never even try before. Especially since he'd rather run around naked! He can take OFF his own clothes now, since we started refusing to do it for him. If he wants his clothes off, he can do it himself. He's the one that wants to run around naked!

The bad parts of him wanting to do everything himself. Getting DVD's, taking them out of the case, putting them into the DVD player on his own. We had raised the DVD player and VCR as high as it would go on our entertainment center when he started to pull himself up. Now he is tall enough to reach everything! Luckily, the Wii is ONTOP of the entertainment center, so he cannot reach that. I definitely watch him so that he doesn't try to climb up the entertainment center. I've heard a lot of stories about kiddo's trying to climb up and pulling the TV onto themselves. We do not have a plasma or anything like that so it is a heavy TV.

But that's all for now. I've typed as much as I possibly can right now.
