Normally I'd have a million things that I want to do and look at online. Tonight I am sitting home alone with just Faye here and I'm bored to tears. I have nothing to do online and don't really want to watch TV (what is that anyways?!) or go to bed. I want to eat Apple Pie that I made this evening, but I do not want to eat it yet because it is still very juicy. Clayton got me a Big & Tasty with Fries and a Soda before he left tonight and it didn't even touch my hunger. I ate two bags of 100 Calorie Oreo Thin Crisps and I still want more food. I had two pieces of toast with sunbutter this morning and 8 chicken nuggets for lunch and my poor little baby is not getting much milk from me because my stomach has been growling all day long. She woke up shortly after I finished eating and I nursed her and she got a little and went back to eat. Now I need to find more food to eat without having to actually make anything.....
And the gums above my top front teeth are red and swollen? All of a sudden and mostly just above one of the teeth. I don't know why or what from. Cannot tell if I irritated it with something I ate (but what? LOL), or if it's some kind of vitamin deficiency catching up with me (been taking fish oil and l. acidophilus, but need some regular vits and calcium...), or what the deal is.... But they are red, swollen, and they HURT.

THIS is my Daughter....

Most days I can get her down for a nap. Some days I can get her down for a nap fairly easily. Days like today, I walk around with her on my hip until she passes out. Still, I'm not saying she is a good napper. She's not. She may go down for naps during the day, but 99% of the time, she is in the wrap. The fairly easy days are days when I can read her two books, nurse her while lying in bed and have her fall asleep. On those days, she stays in bed, but she wakes up every 5 minutes or so and then I need to go back into the room and lie down with her for awhile to get her back to sleep.

Fall Pictures
I decided to take some pictures of Faelyn in the fall leaves. Though we do have plenty of leaves in our own backyard, I stole some leaves from two different yards on our way home from Maddox's Preschool.

4 Month Appointment
So we trekked our little selves over to the UofM campus for Faye's doctors appointment. This was a completely different Clinic and Pediatrician. She was really funny on our bus downtown. She was talking so much and so loud that a woman at the front of the bus (Maddox LOVES the back row of seats, so we always have to sit there) turned around and giggled at her. She has been talking since 4 weeks old, but she is really starting to move her tongue around a lot when talking and she all of a sudden started talking a TON. She woke up at 5AM this morning and talked to me, which is probably why I didn't hear Maddox come to our bed, or hear Clayton get out of bed, or hear Clayton turn on the TV for Maddox, or hear Clayton take a shower, etc. I woke up at 7:45AM and had to ask Maddox if Daddy left for work already!
Official Stats
Height: 24½ Inches (57%)
Weight: 13 Pounds, 3 Ounces (37%)
Head: 42 Centimeters (77%) Haha! She's got nothing on Maddox though!
Everything went good. Faye is doing great. We LOVED the Pediatrician! She was so happy and friendly and HELPFUL. Instead of saying "she's fine", "that's normal", she actually explained why things happen, etc. so I didn't feel like she was blowing off my concerns and now I know what the little white bumps on her gums are (harmless cysts that will go away whenever they want to), why she snorts and spits up mucus, and that sort. I got a cheer and TWO thumbs up for breastfeeding. Faye wanted to eat and so I nursed her and she checked out her latch and everything and to make sure that her congested nose didn't interfere with nursing at all.
Faye only got one shot today. The DTaP. I'm bringing her in again in about 2 weeks to have the PCV and HIB. The Pediatrician was not at all negative about delaying and spreading out shots. She liked what I wanted done and only suggested moving up the MMR shot to 15-18mo instead of age 5 because of the risk of Measles. I know there are places that can get separate Measles, Mumps, and Rubella vaccines, but this clinic is not one of them and I don't know where those clinics would be and I really don't think it is that necessary. I think I'm still going to wait closer to age 2 though. Maybe 21-24 months.
I'm very glad that we only got her the one shot today. She did not cry. She fussed a little bit after the shot when the nurse put her band-aid on, but only for a second (literally) and then she was done. I wrapped her up, we were off back home and Faye slept most of the way home. She was wide awake and alert while at home and not a bit fussy until she decided she was tired and ready for bed, just before 7pm. Her shot was at about 2:45 PM and I gave her some Tylenol around 4 PM and she was perfectly OK before that. I just wanted her to have the Tylenol so that she didn't get sore and so she could sleep tonight.

Sicky Boy
Maddox has had a runny nose for a couple days now. Faye is also sick. She been coughing and has a stuffed up nose (not convinced that is JUST a cold though... since she's been spitting up mucus for months). Anyways. Maddox now has a cough this morning. He's had an occasional cough here and there, today it's constant. He sounds just like he did when he had Pneumonia. I hope that doesn't mean anything.

Four Months!
Some are with flash, most are without. That's what the color difference is from. I don't like flash.

Cloth Diaper
The Cloth Diaper that I made while still pregnant. This is the bigger one. The three small ones I made her only fit for about 2 months, I used those ones in the bathtub because I didn't have any diaper covers and these are just fitted diapers.
