What a fun holiday! Christmas eve we went to Great Grandma Harriet's for dinner, games, and presents! I got a few things from Great Aunt Marylin & Great Uncle Randy. Great Aunt Dawn got me a few things as well! Great Grandma Harriet got me a cute little outfit, it's still a little too big though.
Christmas day we opened presents at home with Grandma & Grandpa Miller, Aunty Susan, Matt, and Uncle Lewis. I got a bunch of cute outfits from the G-Parents and a stocking full of stuff. I especially love the Pooh hair brush I got. I got Mom a glider rocker and ottoman, she LOVES it! Then we went to Grandma Mary's house. Mom called Aunty Amy and talked her into coming over and then it was a whole lot better! I got a big box of rattles, an activity gym, outfits, musical keys on a ring.. We ate lots of good food.. well I didn't, they wouldn't let me, but it still tasted good filtered through mom!
Today it is Aunty Susan's Birthday. Everybody is going to Benihana's for dinner. I feel kind of left out because I am not going, but I get to hang out with Grandma Mary and that's even better!

More tests.
I went in to the hospital today to get my Bilirubin tested again. It was 10.1, so luckily I never have to do that again! My other levels were:
+ 13.6 on Tuesday the 7th
+ 12.7 on Friday the 10th
+ 11.8 on Monday the 13th
Mom gave me Nestle Good Start formula in a bottle, mixed with prune juice every other feeding time since last Friday. I only had to have it for a few days though! That's what really helped my bilirubin go down.
I got my pictures taken on Monday, that was no fun. They had cold air blowing right down on me the whole time. Mom says my pictures are cute though!

Mom, Dad, and I went to Aunty Amy's house on Monday too! After dad got home from work. My cousin Ariana held me for the first time and I also got to meet Uncle Kerry and Grandpa Dave for the first time too.

Hospital Check-up visit
Grandma Mary and Mom brought me to another doctors appointment today. My Bilirubin level at the hospital before going home was 12. The doctor wanted me to go back to the hospital to get checked and my level was at 15 then. I also got a prescription for a little rash that I got right above my penis. The doctor doesn't know what it is but he said the RX will get rid of it.
After that I got to go shopping with mom and grandma. Mom bought me the essentials and a cute pair of booties, grandma bought me the fun stuff, cute little outfits and blankets! And then after that, the three of us hung out with grandma Diane for a little bit at home.

Jaundice
Well, the doctor visit went ok, I weighed 5lbs 9oz. Sonja said I have Jaundice and need to go to the hospital to get my Bilirubin tested, It was 16.3, so after coming home to eat, we had to go back to the hospital for photo-therapy.
Here is mom feeding me (she is kinda stressed!)

And this is me under the lights

It was so warm and cozy under there, mom had to wake me up every two hours to eat!

Waiting for Dad
I have my first doctors appointment today. Me and mom watched TV while we waited for daddy to get home. I couldn't really see the TV though so mom played with me instead!

I got my very first pictures taken today! I don't know what that weird lady was doing to me.. but just look at my face!

After my pictures, mom & dad packed up and we went home! I wish they would have weighed me before I left, but they didn't. :(

Life Is Good!
Father and I fell asleep, even though we are the ones that got all the sleep.. That's Mother taking the picture, she should be sleeping too!
Happy Birthday to Me!
Maddox Clayton Miller
Born Nov. 29th @ 11:37PM
6lbs 0oz - 18 inches

I was just born minutes ago! They checked me out, cleaned me up and put this weird goop in my eyes! But I'm doing pretty good because my daddy is holding me!
Everything Mom can remember about giving birth to me.... (not much.. ha!):
Maddox Clayton was born at 11:37PM on November 29th. He weighed 6lbs 0oz and was 18 inches long. I was exactly 36 weeks along.
+ Labor started at 4:30AM with menstrually (front & back) contractions, 10 minutes apart.
+ Called my mommy around 11AM with the same contractions, 5 minutes apart.
+ Called doc, called L&D, called mom to let her know I needed to go in.
+ BF had school 10am-3pm, so I made him go. My mom has Monday's off of work.
+ Mom came & picked me up in the company truck (apartment building truck), equipped with snow plow lol.. her BF had her car at the doc office.
+ Got to L&D at noon.
+ Went in bathrrom to put on gown & robe, pulled down pants and my water broke! Sparing my pants!
+ Contractions stayed the same then grew further apart.
+ got SUPER tired, hungry etc.. and decided on Pitocin around 8-9pm or so.
+ Had "pushing" contractions & nasuea at the same time & threw up once, around 10:30pm
+ They wouldn't let me push for a long time (and I hated them for that)
+ delivery was about 30 minutes.
+ Sunny side up.. Don't remember the scientific term!
+ 2 - first degree tears.
+ no pain meds
+ antibiotic for group b, because I was not tested yet.
+ BF was absolutely wonderful!
+ Mom helped out a bunch and I AM glad she stayed for the delivery.
I'll post more when I find out more... have to watch the video first! LOL

Labor & Delivery AGAIN!
Yesterday, I woke up at 5am with menstrually low back pain.. that I THOUGHT was just pain from being uncomfortable in bed. I went online for a little bit, put in some laundry, drank a BIG (32oz) glass of water, and looked at the Thanksgiving Day ad's with MIL til about 8am. Went back down to bed, slept for an hour and woke up at 9am with even worse (but non-menstrually) low back pains (that were constant). I wanted to sleep till 10am before getting up and taking a shower but I couldn't get back to bed, so I took a hot shower and the back pain went away..
I am not so sure (anymore) that they were just normal back pains though..
I went about my Thanksgiving day (still leaking).. went to bed, woke up for work this morning, went to work.. got out at 1:30pm.. I went potty right before I left and discovered that now my fluid was leaking off of the pad and onto my undies.. So I decided that I would call Doc when I got home.
Called the office, he wasn't in, but another OB there said to go over to L&D, called there to let them know I was coming.. Got there a little before 2pm. They did the same tests over again, found that the fern test was again negative. She says that two things are possible. I could have a high leak that they are not able to detect, or (even though it does not look or smell like urine) it could be Maddox pressing down on my bladder.
So I thought that soon after that I would be getting released (was in there for only 2 hours on Wed). So we waited and waited and finally she comes in... with a syringe full of SOMETHING.. I was totally confused. And she tells me that I am having contractions (which I felt some of them but didn't know they were contractions) and that I needed a shot of terbutaline to stop them. So I got that and about an hour/1.5 hours she came back in, checked, I was still contracting and went to get me another shot (and some OJ).
Finally, soon after the second shot, I stopped contracting. She gave me grahm crackers while she tried to get a hold of the OB at my clinic to see if I could eat. Then I got to order food.. Got that an hour later and then I got to leave about a half hour after that.
I had a MASSIVE headache by the end of all this. I just got out of the shower about 20 minutes ago.. and I still have a headache, but its not even half as bad as it was.
Clayton got to wheel me down to the parking lot in a wheel chair! Which I was thankful for because of my headache.. And I was still feeling super shaky from the shots.
So we spent 5.5 hours in the hospital.
Those shots were the worst I've had in my life. They stung like a bitch (and I have always been one that begged for shots when I was little.. and now that I am older, get them with no problems).. I was gripping my arm after that.. And then they made me sooooo coooold and super shaky, I could hardly hold anything.. and I couldn't reach for anything for about 2 minutes after I received the shot..
I really hope I do not feel any contractions at home or work till at least Monday. If I get contractions anytime after 11:59PM on Sunday.. They will just let me go into labor and deliver.. I DO NOT want that shot again.
Anyways.. so that's my story! And now I am going to go lay in bed and try to get rid of this headache (completely) and fall asleep!
I am not so sure (anymore) that they were just normal back pains though..

Yesterday's Trip to Labor & Delivery..
For the past week I have been leaking fluid.. and I was pretty sure that it was not urine... After being PG for 8 months, I think I know what it feels like, looks like, and smells like to squirt a little pee (when I sneeze, cough, etc) LOL.. But still, I spent a week second guessing myself..
After reading in the "Beginnings: Pregnancy, Birth & Beyond" book that I got at OB education "Warning Signs of Preterm Labor: change or increase in vaginal discharge and ruptured membranes (a slow leak, steady trickle, or sudden gush)" and my "change AND increase in vaginal discharge" was the addition (to my reg discharge), a slow leak of fluid.. and after looking it up online and seeing the same thing.. and then consulting my "pregnancy support group" (webmd: 3rd Tri message board).. I decided to call my doctor.
I never got a hold of him, the lady at the desk told me to go straight to Labor & Delivery.. and so I called them and they told me to come in.
I went in, was there for 2 hours. Had the "fern test" done and a non-stress test done.
Apparently, when amniotic fluid dries, it looks like a fern.. and so my results on the fern test.. as the nurse put it "the test was not conclusive but did not grow any fern"..
So pretty much her answer to my "am I leaking amniotic fluid?" question would be "I don't know".
And the non-stress test.. Maddox wasn't moving as much as they wanted him to, so they stuffed me full of grape jelly (EW!) and apple juice.. and then gave me this little thing that I had to push a button on every time he moved. They couldn't tell the difference between his movement and my cramping.. and this button put a mark on the chart whenever I pushed it.
So anyways.. At discharge, the nurse gave me a print out of the preterm labor sheet from my pregnancy book (the page that brought me into L&D in the first place) and pointed out where it said "change or increase in vaginal discharge" and on my discharge papers it says to contact my doctor or Birth Center if I have Loss of Fluid from Vagina..
BUT, I was being discharged from L&D after 2 hours of being there FOR a loss of fluid from my vagina.. and they couldn't tell me anything.. and if I were to call them when I leaked again, I would have been calling them from their parking lot.. and then again 3 times from work.. So.. I am totally confused.. and I don't see any point in calling them if they couldn't tell me anything anyways.. and I don't want to spend 2 hours every single day in L&D.. because if I am having this loss EVERY night, AND 3-4 times while I am at work, I would be calling them 5 times a day......
Unity Hospital Sucks!
Mom and Diane want me to call the hospital again today. I just don't see any point. Nothing has changed and they will probably do the exact same thing.. And who wants to lay in a birthing room for two hours hooked up to monitors, being stuffed with icky grape jelly and apple juice on Thanksgiving.
I just want my mashed potatoes, gravy, corn and turkey from my mommies house.... and then I'll be just fine! I don't want to go to work Fri, Sat, Sun, or Monday though..........

Week 36 (22nd-28th)
Your baby measures about 20.7 inches from head to toe and weighs about 6 pounds. The baby may drop lower in your abdomen, usually assuming the head-down position after having frequently assumed other positions during early pregnancy. The brain has been developing rapidly, and your baby is practicing blinking.

Mom talks about the Childbirth Class
I dreaded going to this class because its 12 hours split between 2 days (9am-3pm each day).
It wasn't too bad though.. because there was a 10 minute break during the first half (9-11:30am), then we got an hour lunch (11:30-12:30pm), then another 10 minute break for the last half. And we are getting a $50 gift cert to Target for completing the classes....
Some of the "students" got to leave at 2:30pm because they were not going to be delivering at the hospital (delivering at a different hospital, home, or birth center), but the rest of us went on a short tour from 2:30-3pm.
I had already been to the ER, the Family Lounge, the Maternity Ward, Nursery, and was in one of the Birthing Rooms for a short period of time.. But it was nice to actually get to see that the birthing rooms DO have a bathtub and how the beds come apart for different birthing positions. I was only in the Birthing room for about a half hour after my Nephew was born, 4 years ago.. and so I never really got to "see" the room.. since I was paying more attention to my sister and Dante.
Alot of the information I already knew, but it was nice to hear it again (and nice to hear the new stuff), and to know that Clayton was hearing it all too. I'm sure he is curious about it, but reading pregnancy and baby sites probably isn't very interesting to him LOL.. And he got to learn how to use "touch therapy" on me for labor and how to help me with breathing.
The only bad and funny parts were that I was SUUUUPER tired.. and the teacher (although she was a woman) reminded me of Mr. Garrison from South Park.. She said "mmkay" just like him.. and everytime she said it.. I couldn't help but giggle inside.. and a few times outside too LOL.
I got a banana nut muffin and lemonade on my first break, panera bread (sierra turkey sandwich & sour dough roll) and caribou coffee (caramel cooler w/ chocolate and turtle treats), and a poppyseed muffin on my second break.. and they were all very good!
Ok.. That's all though. Going back again tomorrow. Going to go to bed early tonight so that I am not so dead tired there... Clayton was probably even more tired. He worked 10pm-6am Thursday night/Friday morning and slept till 3pm on Friday.. So he was up till 3am last night (playing a stupid PC game)... That'll teach him! (probably not).

Week 34 (8th-14th)
Your baby measures about 19.8 inches from head to toe and weighs about 5 pounds. Baby is probably settling into the head-down position, although it might not be final. Organs are now almost fully mature, except for lungs, and the skin is pink instead of red. Fingernails reach the ends of fingers, but toenails are not yet fully grown. Baby might have lots of hair. Movements are less frequent because of the tight fit.

In Mom's words, again! (She's such a control freak!)
+ Got a "Lab Result" Note in the mail today from the Doctors office about the Ultrasound on Oct. 26th. Says Maddox is in the 31 percentile.
+ Haven't been feeling very well lately. Have had cramps and back pains. Been hard to walk at a normal.. or even semi-normal pace. Work hasn't been fun because of it, but luckily, yesterday when I was feeling my worst, before I even clocked in at work, my manager told me I could go home.

Sonogram!
+ At the U/S on Tuesday, the Tech confirmed that I am a boy.. She also measured me and said I was 3lbs 8oz. So.. If I grow at the "normal" rate, I should be 8lbs by 40 weeks.

Week 32 (25th-30th)
Your baby measures about 18.9 inches long from head to toe and weighs almost 4 pounds. It fills almost all the space in your uterus now, either lying with the head up or sometimes still with enough room to do somersaults. A layer of fat is forming underneath the thin, wrinkly skin. Baby's practicing opening his eyes and breathing.

Prenatal Visit #6
+ Doc Appt Today: It was pretty lame, like last time. Appt was scheduled for 3:15PM, Nurse didn't call mom in until 3:40PM, Doc didn't get in until 4PM, and then mom was out by 4:10PM.
+ HB: 132bpm
+ Apparently mom's Hemoglobin (red blood cell count) is low (11.0). It said "Good" next to it on the piece of paper they sent mom for her Glucose Test though. Doc said "I still consider it good, we don't get concerned until its 10.0". Mom hopes I am still getting enough oxygen from her.

In Mom's word today...
+ Clayton heard Maddox's heartbeat the other day, just by putting his ear on my belly.
+ I worked at Bath & Body Works last night from 6pm-10:30pm reseting the floor. So they can just go ahead and start setting up for Xmas whenever without having to do a floorset at the same time. The manager said after next Sunday (if I'm able to come back and finish with the rest of the floorset), we'll talk about getting regular hours for November and December. I haven't been able to get ahold of my Store manager at the Dollar Tree, but I left him a note letting him know that I will not be available on Sun, Tue, Wed, & Sun's for the months of Novermber & December. I hope to work 15-20 hours at BBW and 10-15 hours at the Dollar Tree every week. BBW pay's $0.90 more than the Dollar Tree, and I like BBW's a million times better too!
+ Maddox's nursery is almost completely painted. Diane will be doing a second coat of paint on the walls sometime this week. And then will be painting all of the wood work after that. The first coat of green is on the walls already and it looks very pretty.
+ Maddox has a crib!, winter bunting, a moniter, a bassinet, 1 cute little sleeper outfit, a scrapbook (not started yet), 192 size 1-2 diapers, and 528 wipes.
+ Baby Shower is on Nov. 6th.. Hopefully LOL
+ I have the cutest, sweetest kitten.

Week 30 (11th-17th)
Your baby measures about 17 inches from head to toe and weighs about 3 pounds. Baby is growing plumper and beginning to control its own body temperature. Eyebrows and eyelashes are fully developed, and hair on the head is getting thicker. Head and body are now proportioned like a newborn's. Hands are now fully formed and fingernails are growing.

Week 28 (27th- 2nd)
Your baby measures about 10 inches from crown to rump, or a total length of about 15.75 inches from head to toe, and weighs about 2.4 pounds. Brain waves show rapid eye movement (REM) sleep, which means your baby may be dreaming. Eyelids are opening. Branches of lungs are developing, so there's a good chance that baby would survive if born prematurely now.

Bagpipes!
I like Scottish Bagpipes and Drums! Mom put some headphones on her belly and after a minute or so, I came right up to the headphones LOL.. Mom tucked the stethoscope under the waist of her pants and without even pressing down on it or anything, she could hear the HB pretty clear!
Mom says it's good to know she is not torturing "the poor little thing!" (that's me)

Kitty Drama!
So earlier today Blue and I were sitting on the floor "organizing" and he decided that he wanted to crawl inside of a plastic petco bag and sit in there. And he did, and put his head through one of the handles. When he decided to get up.. the bag was stuck on his head and he didn't know how to get it off so he took off running..
He ran around the entire bedroom, out the door into the rest of the basement, he ran around the entire basement, running into things, hitting his head on things, making things fall over and fly off into other places.. I tried to catch him but he was too fast.. and I tried to catch him as he ran towards me, but he always ran by me, but still to far away to reach.. and he ran into the laundry room area of the basement and into the corner under the stairs where we store boxes and things.. and he ran underneath the shelf.
I was calling his name and pulled out all of the tubs and boxes (they were heavy) to get back to see if I could find him and I couldn't see him anywhere... Usually when I call his name he meow's or comes to me and he didn't make a sound.. It totally freaked me out because I thought that maybe he had knocked himself out when he hit his head on something.
I called Clayton bawling because I couldn't find a flash light with batteries and I couldn't find Blue and he wasn't making any sounds and I thought he had hurt himself.. So Clayton bought some batteries for a flashlight and was on his way home..
I pulled out some more boxes and made some room for me.. and then I could finally get low enough to the ground to see under the shelf (which was probably around 6 inches of space between the ground and the bottom of it) and I saw a white blob.. but then I looked around some more and saw a few other white blobs that were smaller.. so I wasn't sure if the bigger one was him or not.. but I knew he was somewhere under there... well then I heard the plastic bag crinckle.. and I called Clayton and told him that I found him but couldn't get him out.. and so he was only about 2 minutes away..
I was waiting for my dad to come pick me up, he was bringing me over to his house for a barbecue and to hang out with Kerry & the kids.. and I had to have him come inside the house and wait for Clayton to get home and wait for him to get the kitty..
Clayton got the plastic bag off of his neck and so we just left him under there with some snacks sitting out for him to have when he came out from under the shelf. I figured if he didn't have the bag on his head.. when he came out, he would be fine. If he had the bag on his head still.. he'd freak out again and probably end up doing the same thing he did in the first place.
But I got home close to 3pm and Blue had come out sometime while I was gone and he is ok now! I picked up all the plastic bags off the floor so that he doesn't lay in any of them again.. and we don't go through the same thing again.
I'm sure he's probably already forgot about the whole deal.. and I don't think he hurt himself at all!

Week 24 (30th-4th)
Your baby, now about in its 22nd week of development, is 8.4 inches from crown to rump and weighs about 1.2 pounds. It is starting to produce white blood cells, mostly for combating disease and infection, and may respond to your touch or sounds. If you haven't felt hiccups yet, you might feel some jerking motion now.

AHHHH...
+ I am getting REALLY impatient waiting for my next Ultrasound... And its not till October 26th.... 8 weeks and 2 days away.. I really want to go to my next doc appointment too. That's in 1 week and 2 days... But it still seems so far away.
+ I had Clayton take a picture of me yesterday.. With my yellow pants and white cami.. and I look like a MONSTER! I am a giant blob. And all I can think about is my butt getting bigger because my mother keeps telling me it is getting bigger. And my pants DO look tighter.. but I can't tell if that is from my waist.. of if its from my thighs & butt.... AHH STUPID MOM! She's such a meanie.
+ I had a really stupid dream last night too...
I had an ultrasound.. and for some reason had to CALL to find out the results..
Well apparently my sister called before me and emailed me telling me that baby A was already 19.5 inches (OMG) and something about baby b.
She didn't tell me the sex or anything.. and then she said "and I'm not making any of this up"
And I think to myself, "there is NO WAY I am having twins" LOL
So I call, and the woman on the phone got mad at me for calling.. but told me that there was only one baby.. and that it was a girl.. and I was so happy I started crying.. and she said "she is DEFINITELY a girl" and then she goes, "oh wait a minute, I think I see a penis, you'd having a boy" and then I got mad and was like "WHAT?!?!"
Then after that.. I had triplets, ALL BOYS... And they constantly wanted to nurse.. like every 3 seconds.. and then this weird 3 year old came and wanted to nurse (what?!)..
And then my 3 boys turned into toddlers (2 years old) and they were all VERY BLONDE! Which is what me & Clayton are going to end up with anyways (we were both white blonde).. And they all looked slightly different, but were still identical.. And I couldn't figure out which one I wanted to call Maddox (the name we have picked out if we have a boy). So we left them unnamed.
THEN, all of a sudden, I have a 4 year old daughter. And she's really tan and she has dark brown hair..... And I refused to name her Faylinn (what I've wanted to name my daughter for years, when I have a daughter that is) because she wasn't what I wanted in a little girl. I kept wanted to call her Haley. But I couldn't name her that because it is the name of my friend, megan's, 2.5 year old.. So we left her unnamed too.
And then me & megan went to this catholic church.. and the sanctuary was actually more like this big opera house.. and everything was made out of natural colored marble.. and the sermon and everything was like a drag queen show (seriously....)
And then the rest of the church was like the target center, or the metrodome. With escalators and concession stands....
And I went there to see the pope give his blessings to my SIL & her fiance for their wedding... (bf's sister.. I went to this church with my old best friend who has never even met these people)..
And it was REALLY weird.. but at least it wasn't a nightmare....
Except this part where this lady came around with specific phrases that you had to sing.. Like only 3 people sang each one.. and my throat hurt so bad and my voice was going out and I couldn't get a peep out and she got REALLY mad at me...

Mom's horrible nightmare (in her words)
+ Clayton woke me up at 6am when he left for work (to get a hug, kiss, i love you, etc).. I was SOOOO tired I could barely keep my eyes open, but I kept having this recurrent dream over and over again (only this morning/last night). There was this bald guy, and his skin looked like it was all mutilated from burns (burn scars) and he was a serial rapist/killer, and his fingers where hard and came to points and no matter how I changed my appearance and hid and no matter where I went he found me and he kept coming after me. Whenever I escaped into public, I would yell and scream for help and nobody would listen to me. (and now for the really scary part of my dream) - when he got ahold of me, he'd put his hand on my belly and try to squeeze it as hard as he could and dig his hard, pointy fingers into my belly to kill the baby.
+ I was SO mad because we were at the Mall of America.. and I had this shopping cart thing.. and I had FINALLY gotten away from him (the first time I got away) and some woman was closing the gates to Archivers.. And I yelled for my sister to let me in, and she did, but then the woman decided NOT to close the gates and just left it open. And then her and my sister decided to go over to the Star Trek store (don't ask LOL there isn't even such a thing?) and then the mall became filled with people.. And I was with Amy & Siri and I couldn't hide myself, and neither of them cared that this guy was coming after me to kill my baby....
+ I put on baby beethoven after Clayton left for work and that couldn't take my mind off of it, so I got up and ate waffles and drank some milk and whatever and then put the music back on and I fell asleep.
+ I had 2 other nightmares after that (not scary like the other one).
+ I was in some weird mansion.. and I don't really remember exactly what happened, but my sister (who is also my best friend) got trapped somewhere, and I had to take her 2 kids (4 & 2yrs) and go find their dad to help her, and he turned out to be this really creepy guy that made me & this kids stay where we were while he went to "help" her... Well, we went after him anyways.. he turned into her and was yelling at her REAL self...and then he was going to do something bad to her.. or actually something weird? to her and then I woke up (thank god).. and then I had another really weird dream, in the same mansion, but it wasn't really scary.. but it was still nightmarish.. it has the nightmare feel to it.. like there WAS something bad going to happen..
+ And so I've had a horrible day since.. and I've been super tired from not sleeping well..

Daddy felt me kick!
+ Daddy put his hand on mommies belly and waited for me and I kicked his hand!
+ Mom counted my heartbeat today. Somewhere between 160 & 170bmp. Super cool! She only count it for 6 seconds and then times by 10.. So she didn't get a very accurate count.. But she can hear it!!!

+ Mom felt my kicks from the outside (with her hand).
+ She listened for my HB with stethoscope. Could hear it VERY VERY faintly when she was lying down perfectly still, pressing down with both hands. She tried to time it but the only thing she had with seconds was her cd player.. and the only way she could see her cd player is if she held it up.. and if she held it up, she couldn't hear my HB because she had to use both hands to hold down the steth hard/deep enough.... She thought it was still pretty cool though. At first she couldn't figure out if it was mine or the babies.. so she put dad's cell phone on her belly and everytime her heart beat, the phone moved.. so she listened to my HB and watched the phone at the same time, and my HB was twice as fast. (yes, she's weird!)
+ one of the times when she was searching for my HB (after she ate dinner), she had it up on the right side of her belly button, and I kept kicking the thing!

Week 22 (16th-22nd)
Your baby measures about 7.6 inches and weighs about 12.3 ounces. The muscles are getting stronger every week now, and the eyelids and eyebrows are developed. Your baby's acrobatics are pretty constant, and since he responds to sound, rhythm and melody, you can try singing and talking to him. After he's born, the same sounds will soothe him.

Week 20 (2nd-8th)
The fetus measures about 5.6 to 6.4 inches from crown to rump and weighs about 9 ounces. Your baby can hear sounds by now -- your voice, heart and your stomach growling, as well as sounds outside your body. It will cover its ears with its hands if a loud sound is made near you, and it may even become startled and "jump." The baby is moving often, too -- twisting, turning, wiggling, punching and kicking.

Sono Tech guessed I was a boy.. but nobody is sure yet. She said it could have been my umbilical cord. They were not able to see because I had my legs closed.. and then I folded one leg in front of that area the last time she tried to look. But I am healthy and that is all that matters!

Mommies Vent about her OB/GYN
+ I don't feel comfortable with him. I don't feel comfortable asking him the questions I have about cord blood donation, amniocentesis, circumcision (if its a boy), etc.. I have a list of things.. and when he asks "do you have any questions" I look at my purse.. remembering I have the list and remembering everything on it.. and I just say no, because I don't want to talk to him about it or ask him anything. I want to discuss birth control methods for afterwards, and my birth plan (made one on some website). And I remember then when I go in.. I just don't want to talk to him about it. I actually just grew sad about it yesterday after my 2nd appt. and threw the list away.
He doesn't talk to me or tell me much during my visit either. He comes in asks "how are you?" says "mmhmm" to whatever I say.. and then asks me if I have any questions, then tells me to go on the lil bed thingy, and asks me to unbotton my pants. He measures, doesn't say how I am measuring or what I am measuring.. then he lubes my belly and finds the hb, says "do you hear that?" cleans me up and then tells me to go out and sit in this room to get my blood taken..
And those are literally the only 6 things he says to me. and if he says paper work from the blood.. he flips through them and says "normal, normal, normal, normal, normal, everythings normal"
His eyes are really shifty too.. he makes me super nervous. I really wish I could go to a different ob/gyn.
+ So today I called and scheduled new appointments with Dr. Bryz-Gornia. He is a bit weird... But he is really friendly, chatty, and nice. I went to him for a check up with in 24 hours after I went to the ER.. He did a pelvic exam, and some other stuff.. And I felt perfectly comfortable (first time having a male OB/GYN).. I thought I was going to be scared and really nervous.. But after I met him.. I was super relaxed. So now I am going to be going to him.. But my mommy has to take me because the only time he has available at a close clinic is 1:30pm-3pm on Tuesdays.. and Clayton goes to school from Noon-6pm on tuesdays... But I am happy.. And I am actually excited to go to my next visit!

Week 16 (5th-10th)
Your baby now measures about 4.3 to 4.6 inches from crown to rump and weighs about 2.8 ounces. Fingernails are well-formed and the fine hair, lanugo, may be growing on the head. Arms and legs are moving. The nervous system is functioning and muscles are responding to stimulation from your baby's brain. You may be able to hear the baby's heartbeat in the doctor's office.

Week 12 (7th-11th)
The fetus now measures about 2.5 inches from crown to rump and weighs between three-tenths of an ounce and half an ounce. It is fully formed, from tooth buds to toenails, and your baby's job now is to continue getting larger and stronger for the rest of your pregnancy. With the most critical development behind the fetus, the chance of miscarriage drops considerably after this week.

Emergency Room
Mom went into the emergency room today because she was spotting blood. It started on Friday when she was over at Great Grandma's house cleaning. around 10:30AM, she called the clinic. They told her to go to Urgent care. she went to UC, they told her to go to the ER. They were at the Hospital from 11AM to 3PM. They didn't tell her anything. Mom was an absolute basket case and was crying all night on Sunday.

Week 10 (24th-30th)
Congratulations! Your baby is now officially called a "fetus." It looks a little like a medium shrimp, measuring 1.25 to 1.68 inches from crown to rump, and weighing a little less than two-tenths of an ounce. You might be reassured to know that most physical malformations, when they occur, have occurred by the end of this week, so the most critical part of your baby's development is safely behind you. But other developmental processes, such as those affecting behavior and intelligence, will continue throughout pregnancy. Eyes are covered by skin that will eventually split to form eyelids.

mom gave me a bunch of ariana's old baby clothes. Dante says I'm going to have a girl lol.. hopefully he's right... my cat is licking my shirt... lol Susan knocked on the door upstairs and Blue jumped down and started growling. I think he's probably been scared all night because of the storm.. I feel bad because I was at my mom's house during it. My sister didn't want to go to her apartment building in case there was a tornado. She doesn't feel it is as safe as my mothers apartment building so we stayed there until it stopped hailing and stopped raining so hard and waited for the wind to die down. I think george is excited about the baby. He kept coming up to me and putting his arms around me saying "oh you're going to be a mom and blah blah blah" it was so funny.. and my mom said that when they went to the store he was looking at the "expecting mothers" cards for Mother's Day lol. Awww isn't that sweet!
Happy Mother's Day!
I got the nicest card and the prettiest roses from clayton today. awwww :::tear::: Thank you! I Love You SOOOOOO Much!

Pregnancy Test
Grandma called mommy today and said "Keri, come over, I bought you something". Mom had plans with Auntie Amy, so she told Auntie and they both went over to Grandma's. Somehow, grandma knew I was growing inside of mom and she bought mom a pregnancy test. After about a half hour, mom decided to take it. Mom already knew she was PG, she had all the symptoms and no period. A little while after she took the test, Auntie Amy said it was done. Grandma said "Hold on, I have to get my glasses or I won't be able to see". Auntie Amy came out of the bathroom, laughing "you won't need your glasses to see this" and sure enough it was positive. The line was the brightest/darkest HPT line she'd ever seen! I was 4 weeks and 5 days old.

A forwarded email from my Mother
Just for this morning, I am
going to step over the laundry,
and pick you up and take you to the park to
play.
Just for this morning, I will
leave the dishes in the sink,
and let you teach me how to put that puzzle
of yours together.
Just for this afternoon, I will
unplug the telephone and
keep the computer off, and sit with you in the
backyard and blow bubbles.
Just for this afternoon, I will
not yell once, not even a
tiny grumble when
you scream and whine for the ice
cream truck, and I will buy you one if
he comes by.
Just for this afternoon, I won't
worry about what you are
going to be when you grow up, or second guess
every decision I have made
where you are concerned.
Just for this afternoon, I will let
you help me bake cookies, and I won't
stand over you trying to fix them.
Just for this afternoon, I will take
us to McDonald's and buy us both a
Happy Meal so you can have both toys.
Just for this evening, I will hold
you in my arms and tell you a story
about how you were born and how
much I love you.
Just for this evening, I will let
you splash in the tub and
not get angry.
Just for this evening, I will let
you stay up late while we sit on the
porch and count all the stars.
Just for this evening, I will
snuggle beside you for hours,
and miss my favorite TV shows.
Just for this evening when I run
my finger through your hair
as you pray, I will simply be grateful that God
has given me the greatest gift ever
given.
I will think about the mothers
And fathers who are searching
for their missing children,
the mothers and fathers who are
visiting their children's graves
instead of their bedrooms, and mothers and
fathers who are in hospital rooms watching
their children suffer senselessly, and screaming inside that
they can't handle it anymore.
And when I kiss you good night I
will hold you a little tighter, a
little longer. It is then, that I will
thank God for you, and ask
him for nothing, except one more day.............
