Mostly Pictures

Not much to update here. Maddox has had some diarrhea for the past 4 days. He's pretty frustrated with it because he keeps pooping on the floor and in his undies. He is starting to get so that it doesn't emotionally harm him, but he's definitely to the point where enough is enough. Not to mention that he's on a diet of Banana's, Applesauce, dry Toast, and Apple Juice. I made some Rice for him, but I don't know if he'll eat it. I made a banana, applesauce, and apple juice smoothie for him yesterday and it took 5 hours for him to drink half of it and the other half he spilled on the kitchen floor. I really hope there is an end to this soon. Poor guy :(

When Kaden was here over Thanksgiving, my Mom, Amy, and I took the boys to "A Day in the Life of an Elf" (or something along those lines) on the 8th floor of Macy in downtown. Maddox was pretty freaked out by it. He did want to go through the part with the tree's and snowmen again, but Santa's workshop was especially scary to him. It was a little creepy! They were very old fashioned looking and all of the elves and animals, etc were motorized and moving.

Later that day, Maddox had fun shoveling snow outside of Grandma's patio.

Maddox got tickets to Monster Jam for his birthday. Maddox, Faye, Daddy, and I went and had a blast. I love Monster Jam and a lot of my favorite trucks were there! Maddox was as excited as I was (lol)

Everybody we passed thought Maddox's little sister was pretty cute in her Teddy Bear bunting, cool girl hat, and giant ear muffs...

IMG_5770

Superman was not one of the trucks that was competing that night, but Chad Fortune was there in the crowd. Later he came down onto the track (or whatever you call it).

IMG_5776

A fairly awful picture of Mommy and Faye....

IMG_5777

Poor little Faye! Hopefully these ear muffs will fit better by the 2009 racing season!

Maddox was a fan after Escalade was done with his free style. It was pretty awesome. He broke his back axle, or rod, whatever and his wheels were pigeon toed and he still finished his run, did jumps, and did bonus time! Maddox was impressed after he saw that the driver had a Mohawk too.

Bringing out the big guns!

He makes everything look so easy!

IMG_5832

Yep... She passed out during Grave Diggers freestyle. It's still a mystery to me. (And the guy in the background looks like Great Uncle Russ.....)

IMG_5838

Max D. He bounced back from that. He bounced back from a lot!

IMG_5850

Maddox and Grandma Diane play Super Spies a lot. They let Faye play and so I took a picture. Here they are with their "spy hats" on. They even got one for Faye!

IMG_5856

Grandma Diane had her CD Player on and Maddox laid down on her floor to enjoy the music and read the number on the display

IMG_5883

December 18th was the Last day for Maddox's preschool before Winter Break. They had a Teddy Bear Picnic that we were invited to. Maddox brought his lion.

Snack time. Never can get him to look at me long enough to take a picture...

Rolling Baby!

Officially, Faye can roll back to belly and belly to back. And all over the living room!

Wednesday (I believe it was Wednesday....), She rolled onto her belly by accident while trying to get a toy. She immediately flipped back onto her back (she's been doing that one for awhile already) and had forgotten about it until the next day. Thursday (if Wednesday was the actual day that she did the accidental roll), she was rolling belly to back, back to belly, and over again in one direction to get to places. She had figured out that it was a means of transportation for her! She will now go from a sitting position, into laying on her belly and than rolling over and over again until she gets what she wants. The other day (before I knew she could roll), I laid her down on the floor and went into the kitchen to grab something. I came back out and she had gotten to the wrapping paper that I left on the floor (the entire roll), grabbed it up onto her belly and was rolling around, from side to side, with this roll of wrapping paper, trying to shove it in her mouth!

Grandma Mary, You're white Christmas present MAY have some drool on it.... ;)

Guitar for Christmas

or so Maddox thinks...

I started wrapping Christmas presents last Monday and Maddox asked where his Christmas present was. I told him it was downstairs but it wasn't wrapped, so he couldn't see it. He insisted that I go downstairs and wrap his present (in green paper) and bring it up. So I went down, wrapped it and brought it up and Maddox asked "Is that a guitar?" I told him that I couldn't tell him what it was because it was supposed to be a surprise. He informed me that it WAS a guitar. He told me "Well... It's small on this end and big on this end and it looks just like a guitar!" I told him he'd have to wait until Christmas morning to see what it was. He forgot about his guitar and went on playing as I went on to wrap a couple more presents. He was curious and wanted to know who the other Christmas presents were for, so we were reading the tags together. After about 3 Christmas presents, Maddox said "And just remember Mom, the Guitar is mine!" I laughed and told him he didn't even know if it was a guitar or not and he again, went on to explain why it definitely was a guitar, demonstrating with his hands "big" and "small"....

He has since forgotten... but it was a pretty funny conversation!

4 Year Well-Child

35lbs and 39inches (yes, he's a shorty... I think he's closer to 39.5 though because he was sticking his belly way out lol)

All is well and good with him. He got an MMR booster, Varicella booster and Flu shot. He did great. Said that they hurt, but no tears, and we gave him big hugs and stickers. He felt so miserable after that, for the past couple days he's just been feeling terrible and I immediately felt guilty for letting them pump him full of all those chemicals at one time. He's doing alright now though.

Not doctor's office related, but he had his Kindergarten Screening (don't know if your states require this) on Monday. He did great. All of his development is "age-appropriate". The woman that screened him came out and told my MIL (while Maddox and I were in the bathroom) that he is an incredibly sweet boy!

We brought Maddox in to the doc on the 2nd or 3rd (cannot remember which day) because he had been complaining about a sore throat and his tonsils were swollen. We brought him in for a throat culture and he was being such a little turd. Wasn't listening very well, super hyper, etc. and the doctor commented on how well behaved he was compared to a lot of kids that she see.... Haha! I wanted to comment about how he wasn't behaving very well, but I kept quiet!

6 Month Well-Baby

15lbs 2oz
25in

Her weight went from the 37th percentile to the 33rd and her height went from the 57th to the 25th. I don't know what that is all about. She did outgrow all her 3-6mo sleepers over a month ago and couldn't straighten out her legs... but apparently, she hasn't grown that much, height-wise, since.

She is doing well. She has constant nasal congestion that keeps getting worse and is so bad at night that she can barely breath and wakes up frequently because she looses her nuk because she has to breath from her mouth. I have saline sitting on the headboard of the bed and run a humidifier all night and morning and it doesn't help too much and there isn't anything else I can do to help her. That really stinks. She does not like to be propped up either. It helps her congestion *some* but she is completely restless when propped up.

She got her DTaP today and will go in for Hib and PCV in 2-4 weeks, or whenever I choose before her 9mo appointment!

She's been very fussy this evening and it took a long time to get her to bed. I forgot the tylenol today and they sent in a nurse to give her some tylenol. A nurse came in a gave me a syringe that was filled up to 2.5-3ml of a red liquid. It looked like Robitussin. I smelled it, tasted it, and dumped it down the sink. I'm almost positive it was a cold med. Either way, she should only get a 0.8ml dose of tylenol.. not almost 3mls!

We took the bus and it was SO cold. I ended up going to a near by restaurant and calling my mom to come get us after she got off work. I don't have winter boots and so my toes hurt really bad by the time we got on our second bus to the clinic. Maddox was pretty much warm, but I didn't have very much to cover his nose, mouth, and chin. Faye was toasty.

Santa

Maddox told us that he wanted Hungry Hungry Hippo for Christmas and I told him that maybe he should as Santa for it. Maddox said "why don't we just get it from the store" and I said "but you could just ask Santa" and he says "let's just go to Target, they have it there". I then asked "Don't you want to ask Santa for a Christmas present?" and Maddox replied "No Thanks!"

Christmas Card Photos

IMG_5658

IMG_5648

Due to bad lighting, camera handles low lighting terribly, and the very best cooperation from a 6 month old and 4 year old (he tried so hard!), we got a lot more blooper than anything else! The quality is terrible, but they were so cute I kept a couple.

Picture Post!

Maddox and Faye on Nov 7th. Maddox loves to hold his baby sister!
IMG_5125

It snowed a little bit on the 7th and Maddox insisted on going out, pronto. He doesn't have snow boots yet.
IMG_5111

The snowflakes on Faelyns lashes melted before I could take a pic.
IMG_5119

Maddox playing a Monster Truck game on the Wii. His hair was getting so long. I wanted to cut just the back and sides of it.
IMG_5097

IMG_5095

They made me cut all of it though.
IMG_5427

As you can see, Kaden is in town!
IMG_5430

Other people made him get a hair cut...
IMG_5439

Yesterday was Maddox's birthday. He got this AWESOME toy from Mommy and Daddy.
IMG_5434

I didn't really get any pictures of him besides the one above. My camera died. It always does that at the most important times.
