Riley
We babysat our friend Riley today. Mostly for fun, and we had fun! They played in the house until we ate lunch and then after that, we went outside for awhile. By the time Riley left, Maddox was in the "I will refuse to do anything at all because I'm sick of sharing my stuff" mood. (which makes me fear having another kid because it would be the worst thing in the world to lose his happy, playful, goofy self.)
For the *most* part they played really well together!

Playing kitchen in the playroom.
Eatting snack in the livingroom - while The Backyardigans were on.
Outside - Riley with his hat cocked to the side lol "It's my soccer hat!"

They were so cute!!

Ton's O' Pictures
March 26th, 2007 - A Beautiful Day
"I did it Bepaw!"
"I SEEEEEE the ball!"
And the shorts haven't been out since... :(
March 28th, 2007 - Maddox got to ride in our friend Krista's Mommies truck! She took off the trailer and we all got to ride around in the cab. Maddox pulled the horn a few times and thought it was really cool. He had Krista's mom, Carol, pulling the horn and honking the stirring wheel horn at the same time LOL And after, Maddox got a Truck from, who he know calls, Grandma and Po Po!
April 6th - We colored eggs and it was alot of fun! Until it was all done and Maddox screamed and cried for about 20 minutes afterwards, until he went to bed.
"I did it, Dada! Hurray!"
April 8th - Easter morning, We (clayton) hid eggs outside and than Maddox went out to find them. He had a really good time and called out the colors of all the eggs as he got them!
and Bella was over and did a little egg hunting too!
Later we went to church, over to my grandma's house, and than came home to play & relax.
I used chalk to make a "do not cross" line on the driveway (we race quite often...) and Maddox grabbed some chalk to make his own!
Maddox wasn't very cooperative with the picture taking.
April 13th - It was fairly nice out and we went to play.
Maddox started out in his warm winter jacket and ended up in his spring jacket.

Two days in a row
This kid will not go to bed!
We've missed a few naps lately because of outings, being at moms or sisters house, etc. So now today and yesterday he won't go down. Yesterday we laid down and I fell asleep (was tired, but didn't want to because I had stuff to do) but he did not. He stayed in bed, but he flipped and flopped and would not fall asleep.
Now today, the same thing. I laid in bed for 30min while he, repeatedly, turned on his aquarium. I left the room and ow it's been another 30 minutes and he is playing with his aquarium and the spinny thing on it. He tried to get out of bed a few times, but I put some tissue paper on the floor so I'd hear him every time he got off his bed.
At one point (after he figured out that every time he got out of bed he crinkled) he stood up in his bed and started slapping his knees, etc (to make music). I told him to lay down, he did, then shortly after I found him standing up again and he was dangling his blanket and pulling it up and down to see if the floor was going to crinkle some more.

Maddox the Smartie!!
Maddox used to say "Oh, Alright!" to everything. Now its "OK!" I miss the "Alright" though :(
He also has been starting to say "Mommy" instead of "Mama". I am claiming that I like "Mama" better, but really, I think it's just that I know all the changes are because he is getting older. They are both pretty cute. He used to say "Me Ma" and "De Da" instead of "Mommy" and "Daddy" and it was really funny. You could say "No. Maaaaaa Meeee" and he'd say back "Meeeeee Maaaaaa!"
He's also been calling his Grandma's "Grandma" instead of "Mama" for a couple weeks now. He learned "Auntie" awhile ago too and looks EVERYWHERE all the time for Auntie Amy - yelling "Auuuuuuuntiiiiiiie". A couple weeks ago Uncle Lewis was over and now he is calling all his Uncles "Uncle" whenever he see's them. Grandpa is now "Bepaw" instead of "Grandma" lol which is a good change! Grandpa has his own name now.
Yesterday, we dropped a train track down the stairs and I told him "Oh, I'll have to go get that after I put these trains upstairs". So I went up the stairs and then Maddox said "Oh, I get it Mama!" and went down to go get it.
He is also very fond of the phrase "I did it!" and he says it very enthusiastically and with one of his feet kicked up in the air.
On Saturday, he was trying to sing his ABC's. He has been humming the tune for a looooong time now, but he was actually trying to put letter's into the song. He knows A, B, C, D, E, F, G, K, M, N, O, P, Q, R, T, V, W, Y, Z but he wasn't able to sing any of them.
He knew his colors Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, Brown, and White and now within the past couple weeks, he has learrned Pink and Black as well. We are having a really hard time with Orange though. He always calls it green.
I think his favorite color is Yellow... or maybe he just really likes to say the word. He started with "Lellow" and we are gradually working our way up to "Yellow". It's about 50/50 right now.

Potty Training
This morning we re-visited the potty training thing.
I know that Maddox isn't ready. It is very clear to me. He does know when he poops. He will come to me, holding his butt, telling me "Poop! Poop! Poop Mama!" He, either cannot, or will not tell me that he needs to go. Pee is a whole different story though. He has NO clue what it is. He see's mommy and daddy pee and he even, sometimes, sees himself pee in the tub, but he just doesn't know.
So this this morning I tested him. I took of his diaper and put on a pair of undies. Let him around for awhile and then checked on him later. He was sitting on the couch, eatting his cereal, and his undies were wet (no, the couch didn't get wet at all). He had NO idea and the wetness didn't bother him a bit.
He doesn't care about it and has no interest in training right now.
