New Hope

It has been a little hectic around here lately. As you know, my cousin Kaden was born on the 25th. On the 27th, we worked like crazy getting things packed up. On the 28th, we moved from our old house in Columbia Heights to our new house in New Hope. My kitty was super scared and didn't come out to eat until almot midnight. I wasn't in such a great mood either. It has taken me a week and a half to get comfortable enough to take decent naps during the day. I still sleep alot better when mom naps with me. So far we've gone on 3 walks. Mom & I went up to Winnetka & 36th then back home. Mom, Dad, and I went to Hidden Valley Park the other evening and then yesterday evening, we just walked around a few local streets. It has been hot and rainy, but the basement here is very cold. We go from upstairs to downstairs a million times a day to stay comfortable.

Anyways, more about me. I've been trying lots of fruits and veggies lately. Bananas, Apples, Pears, Avocados, Prunes, Peas, Carrots, Green Beans, Squash, Sweet Potatoes. Most of them are good. Some of them are not so good.

June 3rd was my 6 Month well baby check up. I had 3 shots. They were horrible. I weighed 17 lb 9½ oz and am 26½ inches tall. Everything was at the 50th percentile. The doc was happy because I was staying at the 25th before. I am doing everything I am supposed to be doing except that I can only roll in one direction. But they say some babies don't even roll at all until after they start to crawl.

June 5th I got my 6 Month pictures taken. I sat up for the pictures and held my head up while laying on my belly. There were too many interesting things going on to grab my toes though. I have proofs, but the real pictures don't come back til June 30th. Kaden was supposed to get his picture done too, but my Aunty Amy was really sick and she couldn't bring him. She had to go to Urgent Care and was in the room for 2 hours. They figured out what was wrong though and now she is getting better. I was really sad that my Aunty wasn't feeling well.

I will take these down and put up the real ones when I get them.





I think it's time for Mom and Me to go for a walk!

Kaden Is Here!

Kaden Eugene was born at 11:39AM on May 25th, 2005. He weighed 9lbs, 14oz and was 23¼in. His blood sugar was way to low so he has been in the special care unit since yesterday after noon. They are weaning him off of the IV and if he can keep his levels up, he can stay in his mommies room. If everything goes well, they get to go home tomorrow! My Auntie is doing good. But she really doesn't like the food! We were going to bring her some Subway, but nobody will bring us up to the hospital.

Before Kaden was born, we were waiting at grandma's house and Mom, Dante, and Ana had a "photo shoot" directed by Dante & Ana. I was sleeping at the time...

Dante and Ariana spent the night as well. Aunty Amy and Uncle Kerry were both in the hospital with Kaden. So I had my very first sleep over!

Dinner time didn't go so well tonight. I was WAY too tired to eat my cereal, as mom found out. She completely skipped the veggies all together! So she just gave me a bottle. But before that happened................

Due Date

My Cousin Kaden was due to be born yesterday. He was a no show though. His mommy is expecting him to come on Tuesday the 24th of May. His older brother Dante was 7 days late. His older sister Ariana was 8 days late. So they think Kaden will be 9 days late. We both have appointments for our pictures to be taken on Sunday the 5th of June, so he better be here by then or he is going to miss his appointment. Mom says there is nothing to worry about though. If he doesn't come out by the middle of next week, they'll make him come out. I am really excited to see him though and I hope he makes it sooner than that!

Yay!

I rolled from my back to my belly yesterday and then again 3 times this morning! The only bad thing... my left arm always gets stuck, so I go face first into the floor!

I got my very first cold on Tuesday, May 2nd. Well I caught it on Sunday, but it didn't rear its ugly head until Tuesday. I took my first cold medicine. I got over it pretty quickly, but I think it is coming back. Mom and Dad got sick too. Dad got it worse so far, Mom JUST got the cold today.

On Mother's Day, Daddy got Mommy flowers the day before, they were supposed to come with a bear... but the bear didn't come. I got mom a card. A really cute card. She really liked it. We went over to Grandma Mary's house for a BBQ. I went in a walker for the very first time. I figured out how to go backwards... but I couldn't go any other way. And then we all had to try and talk Aunty Amy out of doing a Cartwheel. She was 39 Weeks Pregnant on Sunday.. and we really didn't want her to hurt herself.. or my baby cousin Kaden! It is Thursday now, and Amy is 39 Weeks and 4 Days. This Sunday coming up will be her due date! We are all very excited!

This Monday, I started Vegetables. Organic Sweet Peas. At first I ate them right up... but then they started to get a little iffy. By Day Three - I was spitting them out at mom. Tonight is my last night of Peas. Tomorrow morning mom says I am going to try some fruits in my cereal. That should be pretty good.

My great grandma and great grandpa stayed at our house this weekend. I wasn't very comfortable with great grandma, but great grandpa picked me up for the very first time on Sunday and I didn't cry at all.



I turned 5 Months on Friday. Mom forgot to take a picture of me though. She got one on Sunday though. Sitting in Dad's computer chair!



April 20th I receive a hat in the mail from Gymboree. My friends June and Dayanara bought it for me. I think it looks great!



April 24th Mom set me down in the Papasan chair while she changed clothes. I must have looked pretty cute because she took some pictures of me!



I better go back to sleep now, TTYL!!

85 Degrees

It was so hot out today. Mom and I went for a walk down to LaBelle Park. I fell asleep and mom parked the stroller on the deck along side the water. When I woke up, mom and I just sat there for a little bit and stared into the water. She globbed SPF 50 sunblock on me before we left and I got to wear a romper.. but I still got really hot so we had to go back home. After we got home and mom made herself dinner, she had to stripe me down to my diaper and bring me outside in the cool breeze to cool me off. I was screaming for 10-15 minutes because I was baking in the house. After it cooled off, around 6PM, we walked to the Dollar Tree and got a garbage for my bedroom. I fell sleep on the way home.

Rolling Over

So I rolled over on Sunday. From my belly to my back two times in a row. And then I did it again about a half hour later. Mom got that one on video tape. It is a good thing she did though.. because since, I've seemed to have forgotten how to roll over. I got half way there this evening and then got distracted.. and tipped back onto my belly. I wish I could put the tape of me rolling over on the computer, but its a mini tape...

Hopefully I will remember how to do it again. It is so boring on my tummy.
