My Baby is THREE today.

Maddox had a good day today. He got the Shake N' Go Crash Ups Speedway from Clayton and I this morning, that he played with ALL day long. He was quite upset at naptime when he had to stop playing. When Grandma Diane got home, Grandma & Bepaw brought him out to the car and had him open the trunk where there was a Black & Decker Workshop. He played with that all evening and there were ALOT of tears at bedtime.

He took my face this morning and whispered to me "It's my birthday!" and has proclaimed several times this afternoon and evening that "I'm happy!"

We had Dino Nuggets for dinner and Grandma Diane got Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwiches. I made Brownies a little later with an "M" spelled out on the top in chocolate chips. Maddox says "M says Me!"

I've decided to let him stay up and watch a movie instead of going straight to bed. I don't know if he'll fall asleep there or if we'll be reading some books and laying in bed before the movie is over. We'll see.

More on Potty Training

Maddox is doing really good. I'm very proud to say (that even though I tricked him a little) that he is doing it all on his own. He's doing it at his own pace, when he wants to, and asks for a diaper when he is all done for the day (usually when he feels the need to poop). We're spending every morning til anywhere between 11:30am and 2pm without a diaper. This morning we were not able to do that because we had school from 9:30-11:30am and had to be ready to go by 9am, but on the car ride to school, all of a sudden he starts going "oh oh oh" and says "oh I have to pee, I have to pee!" He had a diaper on, was fully clothed, and strapped into his carseat. I have to tell him that he had to go pee in his diaper. I asked if he wanted to try using the potty's at school, but he didn't want to do that. Hopefully tomorrow will go well after having a day off. We're not really doing much work though and I'm not forcing Maddox into doing anything. He's doing awesome all on his own!

Morning Sickness has returned

and this time, it's making me puke.

Yesterday, I sneezed so hard it gave me a headache and made me puke (dumb allergies) and then while I was in the bathroom, I puked so hard I pee'd my pants a little LMAO... Oh the joys of pregnancy!

With Maddox I didn't have M/S til 2nd tri. This time I had it all first tri except for maybe 2-3 weeks (not straight, just a bunch of random days combined), so I figured I wouldn't have it in the 2nd tri. So now that I'm on the border of 2nd tri, I'm getting M/S again and worse.

Bah!

Still nothing new. Just here to complain about how every time I lay down for a couple minutes, when I get up, I feel so horribly sick. It's like having morning sickness all over again :(

This is going to be the longest pregnancy in the history of earth. I know that by the time our baby actually gets here, I'll be thinking "where did the time go?!", but seriously, I'm only 11 weeks today and I feel like I've been pregnant for an eternity. I don't want to be NOT pregnant, I just want my baby bump, maternity clothes, to find out the sex, and to be feeling him/her.

Maddox's Successes!

So I'm up and figured I should post. After a little accidental pee in the potty episode Sunday after Maddox and I took a shower, I decided that Monday I would let him spend the day naked. I brought his potty out into the living room (on a towel!) and took his diaper off after we got out of bed in the morning. Our floor and couch are covered with blankets because he doesn't like his butt touching anything and our fireplace has been turned on and off over and over again for two days.

Monday, He was diaperless from around 9am to 11:30am. He went pee in the potty twice and asked for a diaper around 11:30am. I put his diaper on and we were done for the day. Today, He was diaperless from around 10am to 1pm and then again from 3:30pm to 5pm. He went 5-6 times in the morning, once in the shower (I'll have to tell that story in a bit), and then again in the afternoon. He asked for a diaper aroun 11:30am. I told him no and sat him on the toilet with his blanket and I sat next to him. He acted like he had to poop but he wouldn't try. He asked again for a diaper around 1pm, after the last time he pee'd in the potty and I put one on him. As soon as he got it on, he tried to poop. He asked for a diaper around 5pm and again, when he got it on, he tried to poop.

He's been doing really good, he's willing to do it, and for the most part he is making up his own rules. I talked to him about taking off his diaper tonight and he said no, I asked if we could take it off in the morning and he said yes! So we will be trying again tomorrow!

So about the shower. Maddox started peeing and he stopped. He starts saying "uh oh! uh oh!" so I asked him if he had to go more (he said yes) and told him that it was ok to pee in the shower. He said "No, I don't pee in the shower, I pee in the potty" In my head I'm thinking "You've got to be kidding me!" BUT I'm the one that wants him to pee in the potty and it is a giant break through when HE says "I need to pee in the potty". So I asked him if he wanted to pee in the big potty (as we were in the bathroom already) or if he had to pee in his toilet out in the living room. Of course he says "in the living room", so both of us, dripping wet, without towels go trouting off into the living room. He sits on his potty and say "oh maybe not!" He realized that he had finished in the shower! It was pretty cute!

Not Much New

A couple things different - Not as much morning sickness, but I still have my days. I don't feel like I am going to throw up every time I am hungry and I'm not hungry every 5 minutes! I'm still pretty tired, but it is gradually getting less and less.

I had my first appointment on November 5th. I was about 8 weeks 5 days. Could not hear a heartbeat. Got some information, a cool magazine about how the baby grows in the womb (also got it last time with Maddox), some DHA Supplements called "Expecta" from Enfamil. I think I am going to buy some more, it was only 5 pills. Maddox and I accidentally left for the appointment an hour early. We got there at 9:30am and my appointment was at 10:30am. He was very well behaved. He waited with my and we read books and magazines til we went in the room. I think he is getting to know/getting used to my midwife because he just walked in the room and started playing with toys. It helps that there are only two people there - The nurse and the midwife, so he sees the same people every single time.

I have my second appointment on December 3rd and I will be 12 weeks and 5 days so we should be able to hear the heartbeat at that time. I might see if Clayton wants to come that time to hear the baby's heartbeat. He seems really excited this time. It is incredibly easy to talk him into crazy things like a $279.99 car seat. I don't know if it's because we were actually trying for a baby this time or because after having Maddox, he knows what it feels like to have and love a child of his own.

My feelings this time around are so different. I am so afraid and paranoid about things that last time I didn't even think about (the health of the baby, different prenatal tests and at the hospital type stuff, being able to take care of two, being able to share the love equally) and less afraid and more excited about the things I was afraid of before (did I ruin our lives, is clayton happy, is this going to ruin our relationship). Now I am more afraid of the things I don't really have control over and less worried about the things that I (now) know that we can work out and overcome.

I think I caught something. I feel unusually nauseous. Thursday I woke up at 3:30AM shaking. I was super cold, but not really like it was super cold in the room. It was like chills. I felt icky and couldn't get back to sleep til after 6:30AM. I felt fine all day until Maddox and I woke up from nap. I felt sick all night and had a head ache. This morning I have felt sick since waking up. Nauseous and a headache, but I feel like I could throw up at any second.

I've been sneezing for a couple weeks now too. I don't know what that is all about, but it makes my stomach feel even worse.

Morning Sickness

Has subsided.. for the most part! I feel a ton better, still very tired though. Have been trying to take my vitamins at night, but forgetting them often :( Still not eating a ton, but eating slightly larger meals. Somethings work better than others and sometimes I will feel terrible for hours after eating.

I've given in to soda and had coffee once. Halloween was yesterday and so far I'm doing great with the candy! Maddox seems to be able to spot any chocolate at any distance and when I allow him a piece, that's the only time I have any. Well, I did have a little while he was at school with Daddy tonight, but not very much!
