Maddox's Blue Mohawk

We just got comb in stuff that washes out right away - for now. If he's too upset about it coming out, we'll decide if we want to get a semi-perm, but only if it is Manic Panic or, preferrably, Special Effects. It's starting to fade (rub off on furniture and carpet) and he was a bit upset about that. He thinks it looks grey now, which is does look a little silverish-grey in his non-yellow blonde hair.

Baby Name Post (surprise, surprise!)

This should be the second to last until we actually announce a gender and name. The second to last ONLY if I don't just edit this one with possible middle name's for boys.

Just wanted to jot these down somewhere before I forgot them. I don't know how much I really like ANY of them. But at least I could say "those names are ok"

Names (again)

So, we have NO boys names because Clayton doesn't like Dima (or Ira) and I really do not care for Dylan or Ira. I'm pretty bummed. Won't know until the 28th (at the earliest) whether we are having a boy or a girl, but I still feel like I need to be ready either way (even though we still have 15-19 weeks after that to come up with something).

I have gone over boys names again and again and I just cannot find anything that I like. I really hope that if we are having a boy that something just magically turns up. I will probably put myself into labor stressing over a name for a boy IF we are having a boy.

However, for a girl, we have Audrey Lorraine, Ella Lorraine, and Faelyn Audrey. Clayton, I think prefers Audrey Lorraine. I, of course, prefer Faelyn Audrey, Clayton said it is growing on him though.

Chances are, we'll have a boy.

Appointment Updates

I just realized that I haven't written after any of our appointments yet. November 5th was our first appointment at 8 Weeks 6 Days (9w). No heartbeat at that appointment. She said that was fine, it was too early anyways, but she wanted to check just in case. Did a urine sample and some blood work. Everything came back normal. Lost 1lb. December 3rd was our second appointment at 12 Weeks 6 Days (13w). We heard the heartbeat that time. S/he is very active and was in the correct spot. Everything is going just fine. No tests. Gained 1lb.

Yesterday I had my third appointment. 17 Weeks 6 Days (18w). Heartbeat sounded great. Blood draw for the Quad Screen, won't hear back for about a week or so. Measuring 19cm. Gained 2lbs. Got a referral for an ultrasound and scheduled that for the 28th. Next appointment is on Feb 11th (22 Weeks 6 Days)!

Nuk-Free

Maddox has been without Nuk since Christmas night. He chewed a hole on each side of it and had to throw it in the garbage. He was asking where his nuk went for awihle and was content with the "it broke and we had to throw it away". He would say "I broke it! Oh Darn!" He is doing great and hasn't asked about it in two days!

He has been diaper free since mid-December. He's better at staying dry at night than he is during the day, but durning the day he dances round til he cannot hold it any longer. He usually makes it, but he has an accident every couple days. he's doing great with potty training and he thinks it is completely silly to go potty in a diaper!

Movement

Yesterday I was feeling movement all day long. Now that I am feeling movement regularly, it is very constant. This baby moves A LOT! It's really cool in the morning when s/he has moved up a high as s/he can. I'll lay on my back and there will be a large, hard lump right underneath my belly button. I've tried taking a picture of it the last two mornings, but I haven't been able to yet. The first morning, Maddox had to pee, so I had to get up immediately and the second morning, I laid on my back but didn't want to wake up Maddox by grabbing the camera, etc. I'm thinking tomorrow I will take down the blanket from the window so there is more light coming in. That should make for a better picture anyways.
