Heavy Eyelids!

Mom and Dad always prop me up on mom's pillow for a little bit when they go on the computer. It is such an old worn pillow and it is so comfy that I can never keep my eyes open for long and I fall right asleep! These are of me last night!

Rice Cereal!

Today Mom & Dad made me try cereal...

At first it was absolutely terrible..


Then I decided to try a little


It was WAY too much work for a tired boy


and finally they just gave it to me in a bottle


Soon after, I fell asleep........ but not for long!

Today I had an Appointment with Dr. Acton. He is a pediatric surgeon (and an assistant professor for pediatric surgery). I went in to see about my umbilical hernia. He said what mom and dad were doing was good (putting on the silver dollar, pressing it in when it pops out, etc). He told us that if it bothered Mom and Dad, that I could go ahead and have surgery now. He said that we can wait a year and see what happens though. Since it is getting better with the silver dollar taped on, he said it will probably heal itself. So we will just see where we are at in a year. None of us want to go through surgery if it is not absolutely needed at this point.

I met Heather and Noah today!

Me and mom went to the mall today with Noah and Heather. I spent alot of time trying to check him out.. but we were walking around so much, I got distracted! Heather held me a few times.. and I got really mad when mom was taking pictures of Noah and when mom held Noah! It was fun meeting new friends and I hope we hang out again soon!

Mom, Dad, & Auntie brought Dante, Ariana, & Myself to get our pictures taken together on February 13th. They turned out pretty good, but I look a little worried in all of them (I was a little worried in all of them!)











Aren't we just the cutest kids?! I can't wait until my new cousin is born, he'll only be 6 months younger than me, we're going to have a lot of fun!

Mom finally caught me in mid-smiles. Her reflexes seem to be a little rusty, so she hasn't caught my smile at its peak... But I think it will be coming up pretty soon!

And she did this really weird thing to me because her great aunt (a RN) told her too... She taped a silver dollar over a piece of gauze ontop of my hernia...

Hernia Boy

I have a herniated belly button. The muscles my belly didn't grow straight down, they grew around my belly button so there is a hole there and my intestines are sticking out. All mom and dad have to do though is, whenever I get upset, cry, poop, etc and they start to stick out, to wait till I am calm and push it back in. She said it should only take 2-6 years for the muscles to come together and just to watch it to make sure that none of my intestines get trapped inbetween the muscles.

The little red half circle is where his belly button actually is.. it is squished under neither there.


I also got a list of three things to try for my constipation:
+ since 1/2 an ounce once a day of prune juice wasn't working, she upped it to 1oz 3-4 times a day.

+ If that doesn't work dark karo syrup - 1-2 tsp a day.

+ and then pedialyte. I don't remember how much pedialyte.. but she said to alternate bottles between pedialyte and karo syrup.

I am supposed to be pooping several times a day for 1-2 days to get my system cleaned out and then mom and dad shouldn't have to give me it anymore.
