Potty Training
This morning we re-visited the potty training thing.
I know that Maddox isn't ready. It is very clear to me. He does know when he poops. He will come to me, holding his butt, telling me "Poop! Poop! Poop Mama!" He, either cannot, or will not tell me that he needs to go. Pee is a whole different story though. He has NO clue what it is. He see's mommy and daddy pee and he even, sometimes, sees himself pee in the tub, but he just doesn't know.
So this this morning I tested him. I took of his diaper and put on a pair of undies. Let him around for awhile and then checked on him later. He was sitting on the couch, eatting his cereal, and his undies were wet (no, the couch didn't get wet at all). He had NO idea and the wetness didn't bother him a bit.
He doesn't care about it and has no interest in training right now.

Yesterday, Maddox and I went with our friends Marcy and Riley to the Jackson Street Roundhouse. Unfortunately, my camera batteries died shortly after getting there, so we only got a few pictures. The boys had a TON of fun though and both were quite unhappy to leave the trains. We'll have to go again next time - remembering camera batteries and a good snack for mommy!!

Last night Maddox and Kaden had a pre-bed snack of yummy fruity cereal. Here they are in their matching bug pj's!

Tonight thier pre-bed snack is popcorn that Kaden talked out of Maddox's Uncle Lewis!

After snack, they played for a little bit.

It's Kaden's last night here. Tomorrow we are bringing him over to my mom's house and then his mommy, daddy, brother, and sister come home in the evening.

Kaden!
Tuesday night, my mother and sister (and kids) came over and dropped off Kaden. He is staying with us until Sunday. Tuesday night he was pretty sad and I had to rock him to sleep. Wednesday, we decided to bring him to daycare, but today we kept him home with us. He was very happy and very good all day!
We started the day out with French Toast. Kaden LOVED the french toast. He has 5 half pieces (oink oink!) But he didn't want any of the mandarine oranges I had to offer...
The boys started out happy and close.

Than one got bored and so they were moved apart.

Kaden was told to sit down and keep his hands to himself... and he did.

But not too long after, he was back at it!

Then we moved on to playing with cars. That went well.

then Maddox decided they both needed their blankets.

Cute little tootsies!

Then it was bath time (they both NEEDED it!)

Then before naptime, Kaden decided to destroy the bedroom.

The rest of the day Kaden did alot of walking around in everyones shoes. Maddox got a black eye from the broom. They had Mac & Cheese for dinner - which was a hit, but not as much as the french toast. And then Kaden and I hung out while Maddox went to school with his Daddy.
I'll have to upload the pictures of Kaden in jeweled high heels and of Maddox's soon-to-be black eye (it's just pink, puffy, and full of little red cuts for now) tomorrow, they're still in my camera.

pictures!!!
Friday, March 2nd, Maddox got a hair cut! I love his fluffy, crazy hair, but it was all different lengths and we was starting to look like he had a mullet.
Before

After

This hasn't anything to do with anything.. but it's just a picture we took when we were playing around that day.

Maddox's Grandma Diane and Grandpa Kirby bought a new sink & cabinet for their bathroom and Maddox got the box afterwards. Here is is last Sunday playing with it.

Lining up his Goldfish - OCD?!

Maddox discovered a new game to play. He crawls into the laundry basket and yells "I'm stuck!" And then I go and help him out. And repeat. Sometimes he throws in a little crawling whlie under the basket....

Sick
Maddox woke up yesterday morning at 1am. It took until 3am to get him back to sleep. After repeatedly telling him to go to bed, giving him benadryl, and a sippy cup of water, he finally caved. We had school yesterday morning, so at 8:30am, I had to get him ready in his sleep. When I changed his clothes he felt warm, but I figured it was just from the fleece footies, 2 fleece blankets, 1 comforter, 1 regular blanket, and Clayton's and my body heat. Apparently not though because when we got to school he didn't want to play at all. He didn't even want to walk around by himself. He wouldn't participate in circle time either. And about 5 minutes before we were about to come back into the children's room, one of the helpers came in to our room telling me that he was throwing up :( Well I walk in the room and Maddox is curled up in Liz's lap (one of the regular teachers) and there is puke all over the snack table, all over his blanket, all over his shirt, and the poor kid is just burning up.
We came home and rested on the couch, then took a 3.5 hour nap and he was feeling much better. He still had a fever and was still a little tired and slow. He is perfectly fine today though (besides the insane amount of crab in him). He is fever-less, puke-less, and tired-less (and very much so). Whatever it was that made him sick didn't last long. So Yay!
