I was unsatisfied with the blurry picture mom took the other day.. So I had her take new ones...



And she did this really weird thing to me because her great aunt (a RN) told her too... She taped a silver dollar over a piece of gauze ontop of my hernia...

Hernia Boy

I have a herniated belly button. The muscles my belly didn't grow straight down, they grew around my belly button so there is a hole there and my intestines are sticking out. All mom and dad have to do though is, whenever I get upset, cry, poop, etc and they start to stick out, to wait till I am calm and push it back in. She said it should only take 2-6 years for the muscles to come together and just to watch it to make sure that none of my intestines get trapped inbetween the muscles.

The little red half circle is where his belly button actually is.. it is squished under neither there.


I also got a list of three things to try for my constipation:
+ since 1/2 an ounce once a day of prune juice wasn't working, she upped it to 1oz 3-4 times a day.

+ If that doesn't work dark karo syrup - 1-2 tsp a day.

+ and then pedialyte. I don't remember how much pedialyte.. but she said to alternate bottles between pedialyte and karo syrup.

I am supposed to be pooping several times a day for 1-2 days to get my system cleaned out and then mom and dad shouldn't have to give me it anymore.

Kaden V. sent me two really cute outfits. I got them on Friday but haven't had a chance to wear them yet. Today I got to wear this one and I am so cute in it! Mom found the one with the funniest look on my face to put up though..





And this is my kitty. Mom and Dad got him before I was around.. I am only 11 weeks old and they've already pawned him off on me! He takes good care of me though!

Mismatched

I had this incredibly cute onesie to wear today.. but I was chilly so Mom had to put some pants on me. Unfortunately, I didn't have any pants to match.. so I had to wear these with the top instead...



I also got two valentine's today! One from Grandma Diane and one from Mulan & Mushu!

Sleepless In Minneapolis

I am still exhausted today from all the pooping and not pooping. I've not slept much at all today. Mom has been trying to get me to bed all day, but I can only seem to sleep for 10 minutes at a time, at the most. Look at my red, bloodshot, tired eyes.

Poopie!

I hadn't gone in a few days. The prune juice wasn't working. I was feeling absolutely miserable. I couldn't sleep at night and I bet mom wanted to send me off to Timbuktu because of it. Mommy decided to try "taking my temperature" again this morning... and enough brownie mix came out to make a whole pan!

Anyways... FINALLY, I have another picture of me and mommy! Daddy took this on Monday when me & mommy were sleeping!

Zantac

Well, the medicine is disgusting but it seems to have helped so far. Mom & Dad went out to eat with, Great grandma & Great grandpa Miller, Grandma & Grandpa Miller, Uncle Lewis, and Julie to Red Lobster, so I don't feel very well today. My stomach hurts from gas and it is making it really hard to fall asleep. Mom is thawing some expressed milk from last week to feed me and maybe after that I won't feel so terrible.

2 Month Well Baby Check Up

Yesterday I was 9 weeks and 3 days old. 5 days older than 2 months, but I went into see the doctor for my well baby check anyways. I weigh 11lbs and 9.5oz and I am 22 inches tall. I was hoping that is all they were going to do to me, but then the nurse came in with these really big pokey things they called shots. I got four shots, two in each leg. And this is what they did to me....





I also got a prescription to liquid zantac. Turns out mom was right, I do have Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), but hopefully the medicine will take care of that!
